On the morning of Jeffrey Epstein's death there was shouting and shrieking from his jail cell, a source familiar with the situation told CBS News. Corrections officers attempted to revive him while saying "breathe, Epstein, breathe."
Congress is the latest to start investigating Epstein's apparent suicide over the weekend, with new reports raising questions about the federal jail where he was being held. One of Epstein's guards at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on the night he died was reportedly not a regular corrections officer.
On Monday, Attorney General William Barr criticized the detention center where the disgraced financier was held. "We will get to the bottom of what happened and there will be accountability," Barr said. "I was appalled and frankly angry to learn of the MCC's failure to adequately secure this prisoner."
Government investigators raided the alleged sex trafficker's private island in the Virgin Islands Monday.
With Epstein gone, potential co-conspirators involved in his alleged sex-trafficking network are shifting into focus. British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell is one of four women accused of recruiting underage girls for sex. She's denied those claims in the past and has not been charged with a crime. Maxwell is said to be Epstein's ex-girlfriend turned business associate. Her current location is unknown.
"She was more of a partner in his obsession, really," said Miami Herald reporter Julie Brown, who spent more than two years looking into Epstein's controversial 2008 plea deal. "And there are allegations that she was involved in having sex with some of these girls as well."
Court documents from 2011 reveal Epstein controlled several apartments in a building just blocks from his $77 million New York townhouse and allegedly housed "underage girls from all over the world."

Or, if they were not moved off the entire floor— prior to this “event”. And, if so— where would they have been moved to— and how could this be done with existing staff (and not a special call out of personnel)? Just thoughts down that hole. The puerile explanations being floated by the leftie media are pretty hard to take as they “fill in” their very large blanks.

They will hold weight if twisted into rope. You can make a strong enough rope to garrot a person with the wrappers from soda straws if you are so motivated.
We'ver been told all sorts of things. I read that when he was moved from solitary, he was placed in a double which had a bunk bed. And, that he hung himself from the top of the bunk bed by kneeling over and putting his weight on a dangling noose. I have to say, that takes a lot of willpower... or some assistance, either via pre-suicide drug administration, or by manual help during the act.
sometimes completely naked without repercussions.
If you line the profile pics up so the eyebrows are at the same angle and length the ears don’t look that different save for shading. The nose is another matter, but never having seen anyone dead this way, I don’t know what happens to cartilage under these circumstances or how long it takes for it to sag. In life there are muscles and blood pressure at work but in death all is gone, so there may be an explanation right there.
Yeah — in seconds. I wonder what is really going on. I read somewhere that he had written everything he knew down and had it hidden so no one could find it. He had the goods on everyone and it made his life safer, I guess.
Epstein wasn’t in the Tombs.
So funny. thanks
Yeah, thats what I thought too. The guard knew his ass was grass.
I know you are trying to be clinical but disagree about nose. I was with my mom when she died, then an hour later, then at funeral home. She had the same small nose as me. She did not grow a hook when she died!!!
Short bunk bed.
I guess somebody wasn’t doing their research. I read the Tombs. The Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) where Epstein died and Metropolitan Detention Center ( the Tombs ) were only a few miles from each other.
Sooo.... they put a suicidal guy in a cell with a bunk bed? They could have left him with a cyanide tablet and a loaded pistol too, just in case. Sheesh!
Warden transferred. 2 others put on admin leave.
I’ve heard that he was no longer on suicide watch.
The guards on duty assigned to that cell block/charged with Epstein etc will begin to expire under unusual circumstances. Drowning in the family swimming pool, car crashes, unexpected medical crises etc.
Give it a year, all will be dead.
I didn’t realize that hitlery could “shriek”.
guy who committed suicide by shooting himself five times with his rifle back
Wasn’t that LBJ and the Billy Saul Estes business?
