• FBI agents are horrified that President Donald Trump promoted a baseless conspiracy theory on Twitter suggesting the Clinton family was involved in the death of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
• The Justice Department announced that Epstein died by "apparent suicide" and there is no evidence that the conspiracy theory Trump retweeted has any merit.
• "The Epstein case was hypercharged from the get-go," one current FBI agent, who requested anonymity to freely discuss Trump's actions, told INSIDER.
• "The last thing investigators need is the president of the United States fanning the flames with these bulls--- theories that have no basis in reality."
• Another agent told INSIDER that Trump's actions make the FBI's job harder as it combats homegrown extremism, particularly after its latest finding that conspiracy theories pose a new domestic-terrorism threat.
• "It's not hyperbole to say that when the president makes up these stories — or promotes stories made up by others — he's putting innocent lives at risk," said one former senior Justice Department official.

The fact it took six weeks from the arrest to search the CRIME SCENE is a bigger scandal than the “suicide”. No excuse to not have done it sooner. Basic 101 investigative matter. Whoever was involved from the prosecutor to the SAC and supervisor at FBI should be FIRED as they are incompetent or corrupt.

I think we are all so desensitized to the whining of the FBI. I realize their are good people in the FBI, but I just wish they would stand up for us to see. Excellent point. We've got main stream media outlets hosting former top level FBI managers who are presenting wild, even crazy conspiracy theories. After all, anything that happens on August 8th is intended to honor Hitler according to Figliuzzi. That's why the National Holocaust Museum held their last session of the First Person 2019 Series where holocaust survivors tell their stories of survival on August 8th.

Figliuzzi's claim was both repugnant, an insult to holocaust survivors, and ridiculous.

It is really sad. That is how corruption works. When the government is secretive and corrupt, it results in mistrust, to the point where conspiracy theories that seem wild suddenly become believable.

The Oklahoma bombing is a great example of government secrecy and anomolies that just scream strange workings. Timothy McVeigh was not only the first federal prisoned to be executed since 1963, he was killed in record time — just 4 years after conviction. The average time on death row had been 15 years. It is obvious they killed him quickly to prevent the truth from coming out.

I could go on about the Oklahoma City bombing such as how they razed the building in less than a month — a move obvoiusly made to destroy evidence. A bunch of agents and Marshalls just “happened” to not report to work at the building the day of the bombing — surprise of surprises. And then the FBI conveniently “lost” the tapes of the bombing and aftermath.

Once trust is lost, it is nearly impossible to get back.

Elliot Ness and the Untouchables were the first things I thought of when I heard the letters “FBI”. I thought of highly ethical professionals of unimpeachable integrity dispassionately seeking the truth wherever it leads.

Now I think the FBI is rotten to its core. The police and the FBI and the government at large cannot continue to function when the middle class no longer trusts them. We are at that point.

It is sad, maddening, frustrating, and very dangerous for our Republic.
