SAN LUIS The first section of President Trumps border wall in Arizona is rising near Yuma.
After years of crowds shouting build the wall at political rallies and countless condemnations of the wall as xenophobic or a vanity project for Trump, the wall has taken the shape of square, metal poles jutting 30 feet up from the ground in San Luis, a border town south of Yuma.
As early as this month, similar poles could rise along the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge, Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and across the San Pedro River.
Despite the wall being the centerpiece of the Trump administrations immigration agenda, relatively few details about it were announced publicly. Instead, information has come in dribs and drabs from documents disclosed in a federal lawsuit and terse news releases.

Hardly a mention of this in the LSM
Okay. That explains why all those guys near the border are taking pole vaulting classes in reform school. I thought it was about the Olympics.
A minefield would make a nice touch.
But the ‘immigrants’ might fall and hurt themselves on the new wall...
...and that would be racist!
Show me a 30 foot wall and I’ll show you a 32 foot Mexican.
Or something like that.
If the Illegal Invaders voted Republican instead of Democrat, you would be able to see the Bill Clinton Southern Border Wall from Space.
“But the immigrants might fall and hurt themselves on the new wall...”
Half of the people who fall from 30 feet, die from the fall (survivors are badly injured/maimed).
...and that sample group tends to be very dis-proportionally fit young men - tree trimmers, linesmen, roofers and such.
The first guy to fall off the President’s first new stretch of 30 foot bollards in Calexico, broke both his femurs and his back. He was airlifted to a trauma center, but I never heard what happened to him long term.
Yuma is getting buttoned up, so are San Diego, Calexico, Tecate, and about the whole Rio Grande Valley.
El Paso got a significant upgrade, and some long runs are going into rural Arizona and New Mexico.
It is getting serious.
30 footers are awesome!
I just sent off a friend to fly to Yuma this morning. His reserve unit is aiding the border patrol in the Yuma sector. He says its all run by the cartels.
It shouldn’t surprise anyone this wall is taking a while to get built. Not just a funding issue; the government moves at the speed of cold molasses on Christmas morning on top of a Montana mountain.
Better give Brian Kolfage a call.
The lower IQ ones took up fencing
The 30 foot wall is awesome. Very few would be capable of climbing it. Anyone who falls from 30 feet would be killed or end up in critical condition. Pulling up a wife and kids and lowering them down the other side would be a death wish. Sensors would pick up such an operation and all that risk would be for nothing.
Build the wall!
Or more cherry-picker trucks stolen from California, and driven across the border.
My sixth grade teacher when he was not calling us all malcontents use to always say we were as slow as cold molasses running up hill.
