That’s been the theme of more than one previous movie. They just replaced the hunted with the “Deplorables.”

This is the natural progression of the fantasy expression. First it starts in the College and big city "free" papers (e.g. Chicago Reader), then it moves into national fringe publications (magazines, low grade web sites, DVDs) and now it is up to mainstream movies.
One by-product of all this is that it is a lot harder to call us "paranoid". It is proper that the main trigger for the killers in the movie is people who are pro-life.

“The Most Dangerous Game” from 1932 with Joel McCrea comes to mind. It’s based on a famous short story.

Republicans could create an opposing film.
Something along the line of ‘hunters’ going after abortion clinic workers.
Or hunters going after the MSNBC and CNN supporters and democrat voters.
Mind you that this would be a suggestion for a film and not for anything real, just like “The Hunt” is not supposed to be real or suggestive of any such actions.

The "pulling out" should be by all theaters. Any theater that would support such a 'project' should have protests all around their buildings. Advertisers would be the least amount of the movie's earnings; tickets might be where the money is.

Its a trap. They know we would kill them all the first day. They just want us to say so.

“Most Dangerous Game” story IIRC inspired the Zodiac killer.

After the release (I hope it is released) it’s going to be a pure nightmare to persuade any of us in the Trump Base to go along with any further gun “safety” legislation.
To: rktman
I plan to see it— for research. Then I’ll demand a refund.
To: mumblypeg
Story was written long before Zodiac.
Movie was in B&W.

Not at all, because that doesn’t reflect reality. I think a good premise for a movie would be outing the elites who are funding land grabs in the developing world and then pitting the Latin American deplorables against the American deplorables. They could explore the money laundering that has been documented, the murder of inconvenient Guatemalans and Brazilians, theres no end of plot possibilities, or bad behavior.

How many threads are going to get posted on this?
You're playing right into the Left's hands. First of all, it's just a movie. A similar movie came out in 1992, "Surviving the Game", starring Ice-T, Gary Busey, and the late Rutger Hauer.
Second of all, if you watch the trailer, the Deplorables wins in the end. So how is that a bad thing?
Finally, maybe this is part of the Great Awakening. This type of thing has been going on, and maybe the producers are working to red-pill the rest of America.
Anyway, the trailer is great, I'm a huge fan of psychological horror and thriller movies, and I'm definitely going to watch this.

Spell Check just grinds my dentures. It goes all the way back to WordPerfect, and it was just as bad then. I do it the old-fashioned way - I turned it off and I proof-read my post first. You know, like in the good old days, when our English teacher would red-strike poor grammar or a misspelling. And gig you for it on your grade.

Also want to add, is that the producers are just trolling. Remember when everybody though “Black Panther” was going to be a white-hating, black nationalist movie? It actually turned into Galt’s Gulch and made the case for nationalism in general.
