LOL-have you MET some of our fellow FRiends? ;-)
Sometimes I too post something really really stupid. Happens to the best of us.
In those cases, I hit “report abuse” on my own post and beg the admin moderator to remove my error, let my embarrassment over it continue.
But actually-in reality-we have lefty lurkers and they love to take comments such as yours at face value and way out of context. Given our current state of the nation-we have to be wise as serpents.
Bro, I know you’re better than what everybody is reading into your post. LOL!
Our society is collapsing before our very eyes.
According to the prosecutor, Curt James Brockway, 39, told a sheriff’s deputy
that he asked the child to remove his hat out of respect before the “Star
Spangled Banner” was played at the Mineral County Fairgrounds in Superior on
Saturday. He said the boy cursed at him before Brockway grabbed him by the
neck and slammed him to the floor.

Sounds like a leftist plant being paid to consummate fake news.
TBI means its ok to be a criminal. He def isn’t one of us.
I think I’ll leave it LOL. In 14 years here I haven’t gotten so much attention albeit negative LOL
Thanks. This is one guy I’d be perfectly fine using the death penalty on, for a host of reasons.
I don’t agree with beating up on kids.
That having been said (and please forgive me for playing devil’s advocate), have any of you ever seen an act of disrespect done by a young person...like, say, not removing their hat for the Anthem or when the Flag goes by at a parade..and had a moment where you wanted to go over and teach the little squirt a lesson?
We all condemn this assault on a cold, right.
Hearing no objection, moving on to new business.
Fracturing a kid's skull for not taking off his hat is kind of a big deal. If it's a big deal when a guy throws a kid off the second or third third floor of a mall, it's a big deal when a guy fractures a kid's skull for not taking off his hat. They are senseless acts of violence.
Brockway was convicted of a 2010 charge of assault with a weapon, the station reports. In that incident, Brockway pulled up to a parked vehicle, got out and pulled a gun on a family and stated he was going to kill them, according to KPAX. He was sentenced to 10 years with the Montana Department of Corrections, all of which were suspended.
Mineral County Sheriffs deputies arrested Brockway around 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Records cited by the Missoulian show Brockway is serving a 10-year-probation
sentence for assault with a deadly weapon.
My suggestion:
Quietly, pleasantly, nicely, and while smiling suggest to the child that he remove his hat. Assume that he didn’t know or was unaware of the custom. Maybe even phrase it like this: “Did you forget to remove your hat?” If he does not remove it, ignore it. If he does, thank him.
Put yourself in the other person’s place in these scenarios. How would YOU react? If I had my hat on I might react like this:
1. Oops! Sorry! I forgot I was wearing it. Sheepishly remove it.
2. Forgot I was wearing it but irritated at some stranger telling me what to do. May or may not remove it.
3. If I’m defiantly wearing it, I can’t imagine anything that someone says to me is going to change my mind about it in the moment. But if the person speaks to me politely, and with a smile, it *MIGHT* plant a seed that will bear fruit later. A polite request tells me that the conservative is a NICE person, not a fascist like I’ve been repeatedly told. And if “conservatives are fascists” is a lie, maybe I will begin to question what other lies I’ve been told.
Muh bad
The perp is a parolee - assault w deadly weapon. Not a patriot. A whack job period
Give him a choice: Exile or Death penalty. this man is not fit to live among other humans.
