One thing I think that is getting lost in the hubbub over this movie is that the filmmakers have the “deplorables” win. They are the heroes of the film, and the ones hunting them are clearly the villains.
The guys that produced it aren’t even typical Hollywood lefties, they are a trio of guys from North Carolina. Though I’m sure they aren’t Republicans, they are not left coast elites. Seems to me the actual message of the film may have “whooshed” over some peoples’ heads in the rush to be outraged.
Sounds like it’s time to disarm the left as a threat to good citizens
Just a word of warning to the clueless Hollywood self described elite: Most deplorables are armed and educated on what to do with those arms. And very few will be deer in the headlights when push comes to shove.

Expect it to be lost on many. A lot of the active shooter types are suicidal, and , what with us being doomed to die from global warming, I’d expect the movie to infect some susceptible minds. I’d feel pretty evenly matched if I were unarmed and could lure an armed snowflake into the brush. I don’t think they’re able, or likely to track, though.
This movie is more proof that the left LOVES guns.
They just don’t want YOU to have one.

That could be the reason for the hubbub. Someone wants the film pulled before the deplorables get emboldened. If it makes the left look bad, it must be deemed “hate speech”.
The deplorables win? All the more reason to ensure that we are disarmed in real life.
I ranted before about how they want to take guns from non-violent honest citizens (us) while leaving them in the hands of violent criminals.
Lefties can’t decide which bathroom to use and they are gonna come after us..? Yeah.

I discovered the *twist* just a couple of days ago.
Interestingly, the major pull quotes I’ve seen from those involved in the production have emphasized “...it’s satire” and “No one gets the joke.”
This is satire? The armed Second Amendment Constitutionalists turn on the progs and take them out? Or is the joke that the wealthy elites think they can hunt and kill American patriots with impunity?
Oh, and there’s a kicker: the patriot leader who snaps and turns the game around is a woman. Is that the satirical part?
Evidently, the progs who bloviate about killing us all and death camps don’t want this plot released. Which raises another question: who produced it and how did it get as far as it did?
So much cognitive dissonance on so many levels from the same people who shut down a Twitter account over “Thou shalt not kill.”

President Trump should tweet this that there is a movie out about hunting deplorables his supporters and now they want to take away our guns. Now is not the time to do that nor is it ever the time to do that.

Basic logic and familiarity with films. You know, like the type of knowledge that if you see a guy with a mustache and British accent, he is probably a villain? If you see an attractive female lead who is facing long odds, she is the hero? Little children can pick up on this stuff, because these tropes are as old as the film industry.

Meh, I don’t buy arguments like this. This film is based on a book from 1924, and there have already been at least five film adaptions of it. So you’re not putting that genie back in the bottle.
Besides, sick people think sick thoughts just fine on their own, I don’t believe trying to censor entertainment for the rest of sane society is going to stop sick people from doing whatever they want to do.
