Twitter locked accounts belonging to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's and several prominent conservatives Monday, after they posted videos of left-wing protesters gathered outside McConnell's Kentucky home -- with one demonstrator calling for someone to stab McConnell "in the heart" and for McConnell to break his "raggedy" neck.
The episode prompted the McConnell campaign, known as "Team Mitch," to slam Twitter for political bias, saying the social media platform had effectively blamed the victim.
Meanwhile, observers noted, Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro remains active on Twitter, even after he posted the names of San Antonio residents who donated to Trump.
This morning, Twitter locked our account for posting the video of real-world, violent threats made against Mitch McConnell," McConnell campaign manager Kevin Golden said in a statement. "This is the problem with the speech police in America today."
McConnell, 77, has been resting at home since tripping on his patio fracturing his shoulder on Sunday -- and the Team Mitch account posted images showing him at his residence.
In the wake of this weekend's deadly mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, the hashtag "Massacre Mitch" trended on Twitter -- and some activists took their case to McConnell's residence.

[They wouldnt dare to ban the president. He would immediately add another million or more voters to his reelection effort.]
Trump should post Mitch’s video and see what happens.
That’s a fact and what needs to be done but they’ll never get it through the House until after the 2020 election if then as long as democrats are the majority in the House.
And a non Paul Ryan type leader to push legislation through.
Enough of this fake 2 party system. The Dems for whatever one thinks of them stand together and push issues as insane as they may be at times.
It appears there’s a secret pact of “ you take the ball and score now “ so we can have people feel they need us to defend against you.
One thing The Donald has done is expose this kabuki theater for what it really is.
An elite class who only thinks about themselves...
Gov needs to force each major (1 million+ users)social media entity to publish it’s terms of service and then if some social media entity (say twitter) violates it’s own term of service they can then be sued by the victim in a special court(s) designed specifically to monitor social media.
problem solved.
For now. I guarantee they are going to ban him for his "racism" before the campaign gets going next year.
Tell you all you need to know. Well put
I've been saying the same thing.
They sell or entice you into using a suite of products/services that actually becomes part of the model, then, after the fact, make it unusable because of political speech.
Good lawyers/law makers could make YOOGE hay out of that.
We are living in authoritarian times, but the authoritarianism suprisingly isnt coming primarily from the government, but from big corporations/monoplies and from the commentariat class that dominates the media, universities, and entertainment industry.

I am sure they can find someone to do that, perhaps the Federal Trade Commission.
Sounds like Mitch needs to give the Twitter management the hearing of their nightmares; one that will go on until they need depends and they are reduced to incoherence.
Put the Twitter CEO under oath. Interogate him for 8 hours. Then refer him to DOJ for lying. Then send in the FBI goons on a no knock raid at Twitter HQ. Have them seize their computers and phones. That’s what would happen if Twitter was run by Republicans, behaved like this and a Democrat was POTUS. Guaranteed.
We need a new Bill of Rights for the internet age to protect us from these tech Robber Barons.
True. But they werent deplatformed like some here are saying.
Suspended. Deplatformed. Same thing.
And just who do you think will be regulating it?
Nobody. We need a new Bill of Rights that spells out you can’t be deplatformed or shadow banned for non criminal behavior. Blocking users on social media should be left up to individual users without the rabid Democrats who run social media companies putting their fingers on the scale.
I love using it and driving the leftists nutso. I block a lot of them too. Don’t need to see their crap. It’s good to use to keep up to date. But they are leftists that run it too, so you have to take that for what it is.
Government is outsourcing authoritarianism now. Many have said it. It’s plain as day. The problem is Big Tech has bought and paid for politicians/lobbyists blocking reform.
They are. The peer pressure all of those "woke" Twitter employees are under is already intense, and will just get worse.
RE: need a rival to Twitter (and others) and why not a rich conservative or two to set up a TV rival to leftists?... ..
Would love to see it. But I think a rival to Twitter and Facebook (if allowed by the big guys to survive a few months) would be like when people said on Rush in the 1990s to just read the American Spectator because Time and Newsweek were tottering in sales.
Or Levin TV,Newsmax or the Blaze because old media is dying.
Maybe a portion of 1% versus the huge media power and reach around the world. CNN is the only source of any views of American life in many foreign countries. (”I hear the Americans are about to take Trump out of power. I saw it on CNN.”
Big media is too big to battle unless they actually do fail (advertising falls badly). They’ll always have Nike and Gillette, I guess.
I fully expect them to suspend Trumps account next year using the excuse of “fairness” during the upcoming election. I have no clue what Trump will do.
