Entertainment mogul and part-time political activist Oprah Winfrey says the spat of mass shootings occurring in America are a result of the country’s disconnect with faith and church, which once provided people with “values about a way of living and being in the world.”
Speaking with Extra host Renee Bargh about the deadly mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio that left more than 30 people dead and dozens more injured, Oprah said “I think what people are missing is a core moral center.”

She has been in the entertainment industry her whole life, and she knows damn well that Her and Her compadres have been pushing the boundaries of Decency, Morality, Virtue and Right and Wrong on to the unsuspecting masses. Now we are at a tipping point where evrything I described is now Reality, there are NO Absolutes about Anything, Including and Especially Human Anatomy and Human Biology.

True morality can only be dictated by God. Determination of what is moral or immoral, right or wrong, must come from a source outside ourselves. This is precisely why John Adams famously said, “Our Constitution is made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Adams knew that men could not govern themselves unless their passions were restrained via a moral code given by God. Absent that, our Constitutional freedoms become nothing more than license to engage in ever greater debauchery and evil.

If we want to run with idle speculation, we can just as easily say that the heightened rhetoric from the left and the media are more likely to be contributing factors than any speech or tweet from the POTUS.
The left and the media have spent the last several years agitating - calls to run people out of restaurants and shops, harass them, doxxing them online, ruining their job prospects. How could this not feed a climate of hatred and toxicity? And if someone is already a little bit mentally unstable, this surely does not help.
Some facts:
-The shooter who attacked Republicans including Steve Scalise was a Bernie supporter.
-The guy who shot at the ICE patrol was an Antifa leftist.
-The murderer in Dayton was a leftist.
-The murderer in El Paso was Liz Warren supporter of universal basic income. There was a report, unconfirmed, that this murderer was actually inspired to murder because of his negative reaction to all the Democrats supporting free healthcare for illegal immigrants.
There is little, if anything at all, to link these shooters to Trump’s rhetoric and yet this is all we hear from the media. And his rhetoric is not as extreme as it has been portrayed by the left and the media. No examination of drug use, prescription or otherwise. No examination of possible motives. No evidence at all. Just idle speculation and knee-jerk blame for political advantage. And when Trump called for unity and disavowed racism - the left was outraged that the NYT would dare to actually say it in a headline!
I would idly speculate that the left and the media are intentionally ratcheting up divisive rhetoric and inflaming passions and that these kinds of actions are exactly what they are hoping to be the result.
Oprah is on the right track... but the people who need to find their moral center are the ones who are unhinged in their speech and analysis of current events.
Oprah endorsed every sort of new age, “spiritual”, hippy, self empowerment nonsense.
She’s in no position to talk about why people have abandoned faith and the church.
