Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) urged Americans to demand that their representatives ban assault weapons or kick their "a---" out of Congress.
"Americans, please stop tolerating the pain, suffering, and prayers of families, friends, neighborhoods & all caring Americans. Demand the Members of Congress get rid of ALL assault weapons or kick our a--- out of Congress!" she tweeted Tuesday.

Now let that sink in. They know such a ban will be ineffective at improving public safety. Yet multiple leftists are calling for it louder and louder. Now why would they want something that they know will not work? Because it isn't about improving public safety. They want the ban because, well, they want the ban.
An "assault weapons" ban makes for a great stepping stone on their incrementalist path. When it doesn't work - as we all know it will not - they will "have to" ask for further bans - maybe all semi-autos (pistol and rifle). Lather, rinse, repeat. I am convinced their ultimate objective is complete civilian disarmament. They know they cannot get there all at once, so any step they can make towards that objective works for them. I further believe they know that before they can achieve that goal, it will come to bloodshed and open conflict. Anything they can do to reduce the effectiveness of citizen patriots also works for them.

Kicking Mad Maxine’s asa our of Congress — what a wonderful idea!!!! Let’s do it! Maybe Koch let fat ass all the way back to the district she doesn’t even live in. Let her take a look around and see the consequences of her “representation”. Much of that district isn’t very pretty
Mad Max’s district is mostly the kind of place you’d want to carry in —- and certeinky have good firearms in your home if you were so unfortunate to live there (which maxine doesn’t. She lives in a big beautiful home in a better neighborhood outside her district)
