VALRICO, Fla. A Florida man is charged with threatening to open fire inside a Walmart, one day after a gunman killed 20 inside a Texas store.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested 31-year-old Wayne Lee Padgett of Valrico late Sunday. He is charged with calling the Walmart Supercenter in Gibsonton, Florida, on Sunday afternoon and telling managers he planned to shoot up the store. About 1,000 people inside were evacuated.
Investigators said they traced the call to Padgett. No gun was found at his house near Tampa.
Padgett is charged with filing a false report of using a firearm in a threatening manner. He was being held Monday at the Hillsborough County jail on $7,500 bond. No attorney was listed.
A gunman killed 22 at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, on Saturday.
Tell me you didn’t seek out Florida Man:)
One named ‘Wayne Lee’ at that.
Wayne Lee.
Ok...
No, I did not.
WEAR is my local TV station...........
Texas needs to pass a law banning gun banning in public malls. The quantity of CCW holders is high in that state yet they were prohibited by Mall Rules (and therefor the law) from carrying there. Thus causing the current situation in El Paso as an armed citizen could have stopped this

Genius, Wayne. Really brilliant.
I was thinking along those same lines over the weekend.
Ban GUN FREE ZONES!..............It’s obvious they don’t work!..........
bump
They can arrest me after i use my weapon to save myself
I took my concealed carry training with a retired TX DPS Captain. He told us we could carry in buildings with “no gun” signs as long as they were concealed. If someone noticed we were carrying, we would be asked to leave. Refusal would result in a trespassing violation
I think he should be the object of an after-birth abortion. That way, crazy libs would be supportive of an appropriate, effective preventive measure assuring that this moron wont ultimately kill after some lefty judge puts him back on the street...
Heres Wayne
Gibsonton used to be a retirement community for circus freaks. That Wal-Mart may still have some VERY special shoppers.
Who hasn’t wanted to go Yosemite Sam at Wal-Mart?
Why he looks like Rhodes Scholar!...........
Tuco, the character in the movie, “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” said it well in regards to problem behind what we’ve been seeing. “You want to know who you are? Huh? Huh? You don’t, I do, everyone does... you’re the son of a thousand fathers, all bastards like you.”
Yep!...................
I heard his mother worked at that store too.
