Police and other emergency services in Ohio are responding to a shooting with multiple fatalities near downtown Dayton, local officials and witnesses say. Only few details are currently available.
The incident happened just after 1 a.m. on Sunday when police were called for an “active shooter” on or near East 5th Street in the Oregon District. Details about the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately known.
According to initial reports, multiple people have been shot, but there is no official word on the total number of victims. A video taken by a witness appeared to show at least two bodies near the scene of the shooting.
A large number of emergency services are at the scene while officers work to secure the area, which is close to a number of bars and restaurants. A suspect is believed to be “down,” but police have yet to confirm this.

I found a raw ABC news feed on my satellite system of a local reporterette and cameraman. Cops aren’t talking to her: All she is saying that 10 people are shot, but no idea how seriously any are hurt. She is on the West side of Wayne Avenue, Near Dublin Pub.
One person ‘might’ be in custody, another ‘might’ be being sought. The rest is rambling.
Agenda Free TV (YOUTUBE Channel) has launched a live stream to cover the Ohio shooting (they covered El Paso earlier today). Anchor is currently monitoring police scanner - he notes that the scanner covers ALL police activity in the region so currently radio traffic is not related. Too early for reliable reportage but he’s listening and watching to relay any.

re the cases where a second suspect conveniently disappears. could it be undercover FBI guys are running these ops, grooming the perps, and then easily melting away - as legal officers - once the shootings are done? sometimes it seems that is the only logical explanation.
Sort of like the Joe Colombo hit. Factions in his family wanted him dead, they hired a black guy to do the hit at a Italian Pride Event. Once the hitman shot Colombo a mademan shot him to look like the hero.
