France Slowly Sinking into Chaos
Gatestone Institute ^ | August 3rd 2019 | Guy Millière

In June, the French parliament passed another law, severely punishing anyone who says or writes something that might contain "hate speech". The law is so vague that an American legal scholar, Jonathan Turley, felt compelled to react. "France", he wrote, "has now become one of the biggest international threats to freedom of speech".

The main concern of Macron and the French government seems not to be the risk of riots, the public's discontent, the disappearance of Christianity, the disastrous economic situation, or Islamization and its consequences. Instead, it is climate change.

"The West no longer knows what it is, because it does not know and does not want to know what shaped it, what constituted it, what it was and what it is. (...) This self-asphyxiation leads naturally to a decadence that opens the way to new barbaric civilizations." — Cardinal Robert Sarah, in Le soir approche et déjà le jour baisse ("The Evening Comes, and already the Light Darkens").

A few hours later, thousands of young Arabs from the suburbs gather near the Arc de Triomphe. They have apparently come to "celebrate" in their own way the victory of an Algerian soccer team. More storefronts are smashed, more shops looted. Algerian flags are everywhere. Slogans are belted out: "Long live Algeria", "France is ours", "Death to France". Signs bearing street names are replaced by signs bearing the name of Abd El Kader, the religious and military leader who fought against the French army at the time of the colonization of Algeria. The police limit themselves to stemming the violence in the hope that it will not spread.

Lots of really really well-educated politicians across the West don’t do what they should, and do what they shouldn’t. Instead of protecting the lawful from lawless barbarians, they ban plastic straws and shopping bags and divert the people’s attention to . . . the climate. It takes a special sort of stupid to keep such people in power.

” It takes a special sort of stupid to keep such people in power.”

What do you think the 1965 immigration act was for? They wanted a more compliant electorate.

And I believe that was then Sen. T. Kennedy (D)MA who was one of the authors.

The main concern of Macron and the French government seems not to be .. the disappearance of Christianity...

Just how can government address that? Mandatory church?

Q: Do you why the French built the Eiffel Tower so high?
A: To make it easier for the Germans to see the white flag on top.

France is lost. White French birthrate is 1.4 per woman. Muslim birthrate is 3.5 - 4 per woman. Two more generations before France is majority Muslim. The situation will be miserable. France tried to implement DNA testing to combat immigration fraud, but it faced the same type of opposition to the US-Mexico border wall, and the DNA project died. I am sure the fraud continues big time.

“The West no longer knows what it is, because it does not know and does not want to know what shaped it, what constituted it, what it was and what it is...”

Doesn’t get any more profound than that.

By way of democralization , divisions and media and electoral manipulation of the political process, I believe Macron got 20% of the population only as his supporting core base to prop him to power.

If I know the French, Algerians yelling "Death To France" is not hate speech, but saying "Algerians are yelling 'Death to France'" IS.

Yep, worded as well as I’ve ever seen it. No details, but all the concepts are spelled out perfectly.

I think not. :)
