Police in El Paso, Texas, are responding Saturday to an active shooter in the area of the Cielo Vista Mall, the agency tweeted.
"Scene is still active," police wrote, adding, "avoid the area" around Hawkins and Gateway East boulevards.
At least three businesses in the area are on lockdown. Three Walmart employees took refuge at a Landry's Seafood house, restaurant manager Oscar Collazo told CNN. The women appeared "shook up" but not injured.
Landry's had already gone on lockdown, he said, but opened its doors when the employees ran there.

Nah, no one is going to go on a murder spree to bury bad political news. We might as well be speculating that it’s Beto mad that his campaign is floundering. Hope everyone survives except the shooter.
Unfortunately Walmart’s basic policy is for any EMPLOYEE NOT to CONFRONT or ATTACK a customer under any circumstances, for any reason.
A rather STRANGE position to have as a foundation for survival.
The cartels are violent, but they have been careful about keeping most of the violence in Mexico, and when they do get violent over here they usually stick to other illegals in the drug trade. They don’t want to bring unnecessary heat on themselves, but once we really start going after them and making an impact, they will become just as violent over here as they are in Mexico. That’s why our military needs to be on the border to fight them now. The families of our troops and border agents will have to be protected because they will be targeted as well. If they don’t get more violent here it’s because they are still getting enough drugs into the country, but when we seriously start shutting them down they will get very violent, and we will have to put them down using the full force of our military.

I was just listening to Fox News on satellite radio and they were interviewing a woman by phone who was an eyewitness.
The woman was articulate enough, but absolutely refused to comment on the skin color. Told his height, his build, what he was wearing.
She was asked if saw his face. Yes, she said, but no further comment. Was his face covered? No, she said, but no further comment.
That sounds like a ISIS attack. If it is 22 dead, there will be multiple shooters. Usually domestic “Whacko Libs” is one shooter.
ISIS goes big.
So is it safe to say its not a white guy?
If he were white she would have said so..countless times Ive heard of witnesses describe the perps and they have no issue saying “Yeah he was a white guy”
Watching FOX News dance around this with witness was dumbfounding

It’ll be interesting to find out the politics of the shooter(s).
No doubt about it, this kind of crap will eventually kill open market retailers and bolster on line shopping. If my granddaughter is with me and we’re out and about, I exercise the Second amendment. More folks need to do the same!
