Well, remember Brian Karem? He’s the White House Correspondent for Playboy. He’s also a CNN contributor. Former Special Assistant to the President and current Salem Radio Host Dr. Sebastian Gorka confronted him at a presser in the Rose Garden. He’s been called one of the biggest pigs of the press corps, known for his combative style with the press secretaries of the Trump White House. He likened Trump voters to the Nazi Party. He said that the attendees of the White House’s social media summit were willing participants of demonic possession. Gorka said that he called the president a “f**king idiot” when he refused to answer the questions being hurled at him. So, he just got his press pass suspended for thirty days, which Playboys vows to fight (via Washington Examiner):

It was not immediately clear why. Karem has had a number of high-profile combative exchanges with members of the Trump administration.
Last month, he got into a confrontation with former White House staffer Sebastian Gorka following President Trump’s July 11 social media summit. Karem said the audience, which were mainly right-wing provocateurs and social media influencers, a “group of people that are eager for demonic possession.” A fight nearly broke out.
Back in 2017, Karem gained notoriety for going on a tirade during a White House briefing led by then-press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Why not just require everyone to sign something saying “you will be behave according to our rules or we will have the right to revoke your pass”. They ARE guests, after all. The press doesn’t have a right to be there, anymore than you or I do.

Nobody owes anyone a press pass.
It’s also expected that press corps people compose themselves with a little civility.
He has no case and it’s not troubling.

When the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team was playing its way through the tournament that would eventually result in their "Miracle on Ice" gold medal, coach Herb Brooks held a press conference every day where the media could ask him questions. He had a standing policy of refusing to allow the players to speak to the media. He had spent months molding these players into a team, and he never wanted them to be in a position where one player would be in the media spotlight while others were not.
The reporters covering the Olympics weren't happy about this -- especially after the team began to play far better than anyone expected and attracted more and more public attention. At one of his press conferences, a reporter basically accused Brooks of implementing this policy so he could have all the glory while his players remained in obscurity.
Brooks -- who was a bit of a prickly character on his best day -- got so pissed off at this suggestion that he simply stopped showing up at the press conferences after that. He'd send an assistant coach or trainer out to do it instead.
The way to deal with an @sshole in the media is to stop doing the events at all. Let the other reporters in the White House press corps stew on that for a while, and maybe they'll get rid of the @sshole themselves.

What a bunch of self-entitled fools. No one is infringing on their 1st Amendment rights. They are free to do whatever they want from outside the White House gates.
I hope the White House actually fights this one through the courts. Press passes are magisterial in natural, and totally at the discretion of the chief executive. The first Amendment says the feds can’t interfere with what they publish, but gives them no right to be present at every White House gathering and no right to even be briefed by the secretary. If the get a lefty judge ruling, I hope they’ll seek an immediate stay pending appeal, and failing there, I hope they’ll just suspend all press access for 30 days. They’re fully within their rights to do so.
Trump himself is speaking on tv most every day, why do we need a press Corp party when nobody buys their slop anyway?

If so the response should be an announcement suspending ANY press conference for 30 days. All the reporters will pay and they can then take it up with the Playboy dirtbag who caused it all.

There are liberal reporters, politicians, and Hollywood who have openly called for their viewers to assault and attack anyone they know who might be a Republican. It’s not surprising the media are making the stories about themselves as they roll off that assembly line......But when Obama was president, the media reporters couldn’t lick his feet fast enough or often enough.
