President Donald Trump says Rep. John Ratcliffe will no longer be nominated as director of national intelligence to replace Dan Coats. "Our great Republican Congressman John Ratcliffe is being treated very unfairly by the LameStream Media," Trump wrote on Twitter. "Rather than going through months of slander and libel, I explained to John how miserable it would be for him and his family to deal with these people John has therefore decided to stay in Congress where he has done such an outstanding job representing the people of Texas, and our Country. I will be announcing my nomination for DNI shortly." Trump privately voiced concern in recent days about Ratcliffe's ability to be confirmed as the next director of national intelligence, according to two people who spoke with him. Trump had been assured by allies before selecting Ratcliffe that he would be an easy pick, and so the president was surprised when Ratcliffe started facing issues from senators who had their own concerns.

Please no. Anyone who meets with the FBI as he did without an attorney present has zero common sense...
He was sitting in his White House office and was told by the McCabe no attorney was necessary. Nobody would be thinking perjury trap in those circumstances at that time.
Thanks rlmorel.
The swamp must have felt genuinely threatened, which means he wouldve been the right pick. Hope Trump doesnt go with a swamp approved choice. This is a critical appointment.
No, that's just Conservative Porn.
He already has, multiple times.
Even Q and the folks on Q threads worldwide now acknowledge that Wray at FBI was a "sleeper" for the Deep State. Trump now has to find a way to get rid of him.
Wray is fighting back though about being exposed:
Trumps Encouraging QAnon May Result in ViolenceJust ask the FBI
Dan Coates as DNI was obviously a Deep State traitor. Look where that got us.
Lodi - I misunderstood your post. Sorry. You and I both agree that Trump has picked bad folks because he was prodded to do so.
And General Flynn was simply working with the FBI to facilitate security clearances for members of the new Trump Administration. This should have been simply a routine meeting, not a criminal entrapment scheme of a manufactured crime. But that's what it was.
People should remember: if the current traitors in our government can do that to a 3-star General American hero, they can do it to you. To your loved ones. Very, very easily.
The man has lost his home in northern Virginia, his savings, and his reputation.
Was Ratcliffe uncomfirmable?? WTF are the Senators that would say NO???!!!!!
Yup.
First of all, saying the press is against him is BS.
The press is against everybody who isn’t a socialist.
I think President Trump has something else in mind for Ratcliffe. Maybe if he got rid of that MORON, who looks like Eddie Albert and acts like a tarantula, Christopher Wray, he could be head of FBI.
Thank God Coats is on his way out. Long overdue
He was uncomfirmable. Yes. Not because he had any skeletons in closet, but because the guilty traitors in the Senate (our GOP "brothers and sisters") told Trump they would never confirm Ratcliffe.
Probably knows things we don’t and the pushback by the swamp ain’t the real/only reason.
I'm stealing this phrase!
How on earth can anyone delude themselves into believing that this Swamper is working behind the scenes with Sessions and others to restore America?
Delusional stuff.
Someone else here coined it.
Look at it this way:
If President Trump had not appointed Creepy Wray, we would not have known what a corrupt individual he is.
He would have been in hiding to cause future damage.
He outed the rat!
Sky, please don’t ever send me such an ugly picture again.
The first time I saw him in the confirmation hearing, I saw what I thought was a sneaky, dishonest person.
Next time, send me a picture of SkyPilot. HaHa,
Don't be a sheeple.
