Following reports that the military prosecutors of Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher are receiving Navy Achievement Medals -- despite failing to secure a conviction for Gallagher on murder charges -- President Donald Trump is stepping into the fray.
On Tuesday afternoon, Trump took to Twitter, calling the medal awards "ridiculous" and demanding that they be rescinded.
"Not only did [the prosecutors] lose the case, they had difficulty with respect to information that may have been obtained from opposing lawyers and for giving immunity in a totally incompetent fashion," Trump tweeted."I have directed the Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer & Chief of Naval Operations John Richardson to immediately withdraw and rescind the awards."
A Navy official confirmed that Trump does have the authority to order the revocation of the awards, and that Spencer, accordingly, planned to rescind them.

Is it bad that they lost or bad that they prosecuted? It is not clear from this quote whether Trump wanted a successful prosecution.
Time to clean up the leftist JAG officers in both the Army and Navy. Too many benchsitters judging combat veterans for actions during war time.
#20. That entry in ‘the service record’ is known as a “career killer” and deservedly so.
It is good to know the commander is still the commander. For awhile there, it looked like a judge in Hawaii was commander, lol.
I wonder if these nerds got promoted, based on their support for the Obungler?
It's nice to have a President again.
Agree ....
Can they at least throw them over a fence to get street creds among leftards?
Loving this President more every day...
Tweeting about it and doing it are two different things. Our President is long on tweeting but that does not get it done
Going to my last command before retiring, Security Dept. NAS Cecil Field, FL, I had to make a little stop at Lakehurst, NJ to get the NEC 9545.
Nearly killed me?
Thinking back, the one NAM plus getting a BS degree from Southern Illinois University while on active duty got me that Chief’s hat.
Fair winds my friend...
I’ve no idea what this is about. Can you (or someone ...) give a very quick - no longer than four sentences - summary as to what happened here?

The Navy prosecuted a SEAL on some BS charges of murder in a battle zone. They failed to get a conviction yet were given commendations anyway. President Trump is having those yanked.
3 sentences. How did I do?
Best,

Thank you for sharing this. I’m familiar with it, just like every organization it also has politics involved. And folks would be surprised how much illegal activity actually happens in the service. That wasn’t you who busted my daughter for drinking under age with her chief in the officer’s club when she was in great lakes was it? :)
Freaking awesome, that's how you did. Thanks, I owe you a beer or two at our upcoming (to be scheduled) Illinois Freeper gathering.
Or anytime you demand to cash-in my offer. We live close enough together (I think...) that we can get together anytime we want.

I seem to recall that as well. Right down the road in a town that starts with a W.
Have a great day!

This was a sham prosecution to start with.
Don’t know about the Navy, but in the Army a battalion commander (O-5)was approval authority for an achievement medal. If similar in the Navy, probably the local head of the JAG office approved the award. Bad form to become the focus of the CINC, SecNav and CNO for a stupid decision.
OF COURSE HE DOES ASSHOLE (said navy official)!!! HE IS THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF ALL THE ARMED FORCES FOOL!!!
Damn double posts.........grrrrrr. I’ve checked my puter, let admin. know when it does it.....how can I stop it?
