It is increasingly popular in some conservative circles to bash the Fox News Channel. As one who has followed Fox News closely since its launch in 1996 and has written about it extensively – including critically when I felt that it was warranted – I would like to vehemently disagree with the recent rash of naysayers.
It has become fashionable for right-of-center critics to share a perception of Fox News as having abandoned its conservative roots and veered to the left. Many commentators claim the cause for this perceived leftward drift is the enhanced role of the purportedly left-of-center “Murdoch Boys,” James and
Lachlan – the sons of Fox News co-founder Rupert Murdoch. I should know something about this subject since it was apparently my article at American Thinker published on June 12, 2017 that first established the meme of the “Murdoch Boys.” (The fact is that today only one of the Murdoch sons has a role at the New Fox – Lachlan Murdoch, who is the chairman and CEO of the Fox Corporation. His brother James is not involved in the Fox company, including Fox News, at all.)
My reporting on the Murdoch Boys in June 2017 was then and this is now. In the summer of 2017, Fox News was in a chaotic state. Its most popular prime time host, Bill OReilly, had been let go in late April and the prime time schedule was a mess. The channels co-founder and hands-on programmer, media genius Roger Ailes, had been forced out the previous summer. The outlook for the future of Fox News in mid-2017 seemed uncertain.
By early fall however, the channel had righted itself.

Faux News is dead to me.
Only firing Donna Brazelle, Slep, Whoraldo and Chris Wallace will bring me back
What fake news program is this guy babbling about?
What a sunshine pumper! What’s next? A chorus of “The Good Ship Lollipop”???
YAWN. Fox Snooze is what it is. When they quit hiring republican-hating liberals like Donna Brazil, Juan Williams, Sheila-Sheppard Smith, and others that despise conservatives and especially President Donald Trump the network will get some of its credibility back. I mainly watch Newsmax now. As far as I can tell they have no leftwing anchors and reliably Trump hating liberals as regular commentators. Wayne Allen Root, Chris Salcedo and Jesse Lee Peterson stand out among their talk shows.
I stopped watching, years ago, when I realized the fair & balanced reporting was nothing more than a ruse to capture both sides of the equation. Because opinion was just an important part of their scheme to veer off from providing factual news and become a form of entertainment.
Boy, American Thinker usually supports better authors ... this guy is dead wrong. He hasn’t been watching lately, they’ve turned left and he doesn’t even notice it.
When I watch Fox News, the only shows I tune in to are Tucker Carlson (who I sometimes disagree with), Hannity (only after his boring introductory Monologue), Ingraham (hit and miss because she always has that Rat on who worked for Chuck the Schmuck), Greg Gutfeld’s weekend Show, Jeanine Pirro’s weekend Show (hit and miss) and last but not least Mark Levin’s weekend Show.
Havent watched Fox News in years so I dont know if its veering leftward.
I dont require commentators, pundits, etc, of any political persuasion to help me interpret current events.
It is interesting to me that not even FOX mentioned that the recent California shooter was a Muslim from Iran.
Such is the fshion on Free Republic
It is rumored that some have injured their rotator cuffs patting themselves on the back after a Fox bash post
The Democrats have 4 networks and NPR solidly in their corner, and they have the nerve to complain about the one right-of-center network that sometimes gives conservatives a fair shake.
Chris Wallace tries to appear down the middle. But he is a lefty who is trying to understand the right. He doesn’t. And he never will. Because he believes in the goodness of journalists. He really thinks that the DC journalists are trying to report the news. He is wrong. But I do believe Chris is one of those who is wrong more than deceitful. He should spend more time listening to Kim Strassel. She knows the press is a mouthpiece for the swamp.
I used to record Fox News Sunday from the Nashville Fox Channel on my dvr and watched after Fox and Friends was over. Whenever Chris Wallace had a demonrat on, I fast-forwarded so I didn't have to listen to the lunatic. My favorite part though is the last part of the program is when he has the Power Player of the Week on. This always well worth watching.
They just don’t get it.
Who reported it?
No buying. I’ll see your defense of Fox and raise you a Nappy a Donna a Shemp a Chris and a Juan. F$%K Faux News.
You said it.
