Former Trump adviser George Papadopoulos told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo in an exclusive interview that he is heading back to Greece to retrieve $10,000 that he suspects was dropped in his lap as part of an entrapment scheme by the CIA or FBI -- and federal investigators want to see the marked bills, which he said are now stored in a safe.
Papadopoulos said on "Sunday Morning Futures" he was "very happy" to see Devin Nunes, R-Calif., grill former Special Counsel Robert Mueller about the summer 2017 payment during last week's hearings -- even though Mueller maintained, without explanation, that the matter was outside the scope of his investigation.
"I was very happy to see that Devin Nunes brought that up," Papadopoulos said. "A man named Charles Tawil gave me this money [in Israel] under very suspicious circumstances. A simple Google search about this individual will reveal he was a CIA or State Department asset in South Africa during the '90s and 2000s. I think around the time when Bob Mueller was the director of the FBI.

Well, someone it seems is having a fun Summer vacay to Europe to benefit the US, as opposed to Nazi Pelousy and ee cummings in Venice.
Just to be on the safe side, take Mrs Papa D with you so your reentry limit will be TWO X $10,000.
Yo never know that somebody didn’t slip an extra fiver in there to put you over the limit

LOL - I bet they do. Theyre evidence of the Comey/Obama/FBI/Clapper/Brennan spying/entrapment operations against candidate Trump.
I saw that interview. It was the first time I heard about that $10K payment. I’m glad he saved the drop and will fetch the bills. To be credible, he should probably have someone reliable from the DOJ (if one exists) accompany him to Greece to fetch it. To see if they are, indeed, marked bills.
George said he left the money with his lawyer and was searched for cash in the US by the TSA at the airport when he landed. He speculated that they knew and were searching for the money but didn’t find it because he left it with his lawyers in Israel. How the heck the $$ ended up in Greece, I don’t know. I don’t think he said why he thought he received the $$, other than he said he was suspicious about it.
I believe him. His story is credible. They made him a patsy, or at least tried to. Sounds like his antennae may have tingled on time so he didn’t take the money home with him.
I wonder what his motivation could be to announce that he is making this move. Perhaps he would be better served by announcing to the CIA that he was willing to give their money back if they exonerated him from all charges and admitted to spying on him. I don’t quite understand how he can touch that money at present, given the circumstances.
AOC wants him to wire the money to her so she can see it quicker

So that they can lose it.
In his book, George writes that Tawil gave him the money in exchange for unspecified services. Tawil didn't offer or require a contract stating what the services would be. I don't think Tawil even asked George to sign a receipt for it. Tawil must have thought George was naive enough to just carry the money back to the U.S. without considering how he would explain that money to customs enforcement. The frame job on George would have been much more effective had George been more greedy and less suspicious.
Thanks William Tell! That helps a lot.
Yes, and I assume that Tawil was going to be a “Russian” asset as well. Also, the FBI would probably have said this was foreign campaign financing.
I have been wondering about that $10K. George is smarter than I had thought.
10G? As in gazillion?
I don’t think I would board a plane on which Papa was traveling for the next couple of days.
That’s just me.
Will Geraldo tag along?
Better hope it is in a safe no one else knows about. Otherwise it will be like Jerry Rivers and Al Capone’s vault.
Nutshell Summary:
“They wanted to make me look like a foreign operative. The money smelled suspicious so while abroad I gave it to my lawyers. I thought I was going to be set up. I was searched at the FBI at the airport cuz they were looking for that money.”
This beginner “bungler” doesn’t look stupid to me AT ALL.

I love it when an attempted FBI frame job fails and now becomes evidence of an FBI frame job.
I'm almost done with my first read of George's book. I think I may read it again because I am puzzled by the world that George was living in. By that I mean, he intended to make a living apparently by making recommendations to various people and groups involving his area of expertise.
As a result, he finds himself involved with people and organizations who all have different agendas and wish to use his opinions and knowledge to persuade others.
Because of this "business model", if that is an appropriate term for it, George finds himself dealing with people from many countries who have a myriad of motivations. It is that aspect of his dealings which makes it more reasonable that he found himself an easy target of intelligence agency manipulators.
Surprisingly, I think George met his now wife through Misfud. Strange, to say the least.
Those who remember Watergate will recall that the discovery that the Watergate burglars were supplied money which originally came from a donor's check to the Committee to Re-Elect the President was a turning point in the Watergate conspiracy.
The turning point in what we may call the Brennan/Comey conspiracy some day could well be the money given to George.
