President Trump doubled down on his criticisms against Rep. Elijah Cummings on Sunday, defending himself against allegations of racism.
Trump has targeted Cummings over the Maryland Democrat’s own attacks against Trump’s immigration policies and because of attempts by House Democrats to push the Russian collusion narrative and charge the president with obstruction.
"Someone please explain to Nancy Pelosi, who was recently called racist by those in her own party, that there is nothing wrong with bringing out the very obvious fact that Congressman Elijah Cummings has done a very poor job for his district and the City of Baltimore," Trump tweeted.
"Just take a look, the facts speak far louder than words! The Democrats always play the Race Card, when in fact they have done so little for our Nation’s great African American people. Now, lowest unemployment in U.S. history, and only getting better. Elijah Cummings has failed badly!" Trump said.

This is why Trump was elected and, God willing, will be reelected. He stands up for himself. He doesn’t take crap. He’s not afraid of the chattering classes’ scorn.
I’m with the Prez on this one. Cummings is a damn crook and an anti-Semite.

I haven’t seen anybody challenge Trumps point with a summary of Cummings’ accomplishments. Why is that?
Doncha know? Criticizing a black lawmaker is racist. Criticizing a black lawmaker for keeping his district dirty, degraded and downright dangerous is felony-grade racist.
Thou shalt not point out obvious, glaring failures of black lawmakers. Period

Well, one accomplishment is that he’s dining with Pelosi in a 5-star Italian restaurant in Italy right now, while his district is rummaging through trash cans for food.
He also stands up for the Black communities that have been gutted by Democratic policies.

It’s humorous to see people defend Cummings. His first wife divorced him because she found out he had two other children from two different women. Over a decade ago, he had his house foreclosed, he owed the IRS 30,000 in taxes. He claimed financial problems due to all of the child support. Now, he and his current wife just sold a townhouse in DC for almost a million dollars and they have two rental properties in Maryland that are worth between a quarter of a million and a half million dollars. The pay to play scheme he and his wife devised so money would go to her non-profit got him out of debt very quickly.

I am unaware of a method for a House Rep. to specifically affect his/her district that does not involve “pork”.
