Residents across Europe suffered from a second day of record-setting heat on Thursday, as the second heat wave of the summer continues to bake the region.
Hot and dry air, originating from northern Africa, trapped between cold stormy systems, was the culprit for the miserable conditions in northern Europe, which hit the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Germany.
Germany recorded its highest temperature ever, measuring 42.6 degrees Celsius (108 Fahrenheit) in the northwestern town of Lingen, according to the German Weather Service.
Air-conditioning is the problem, not the solution
Nothing feels nicer than walking into an air-conditioned room after spending hours in the heat. But the International Energy Agency (IEA) identified the use of A/C as one the key drivers of the growth of electricity demand, accounting for 10% of all global electricity consumption. And all that electricity that needs to be produced somehow which often involves the burning of fossil fuels.

and while it’s warm they’ll bombard everyone with GLOBAL WARMING ,LOL
The climate is changing. The climate will change. There is little we can do about it. What we can do is adapt. All this time, energy, and money spent on a hoax would be better spent on adaptation.
Oh well, not my problem. I’ll be gone before it’s critical.
hot, cold, hot, cold...

It never got excessively hot or cold until thermometers were invented.
so are we back to calling it “global warming” for the summer?
One the one hand, we are told you can’t look to day to day weather as evidence of “climate change”. Yet when there is a heat wave or any other extreme weather event, it is blamed on “climate change”.
AZ is having a very normal Summer.
Hot but no different than most years
(Love Is Like A) Heat Wave
Martha and the Vandellas
Produced by Holland-Dozier, Lamont Dozier & Brian Holland
Album Greatest Hits
Whenever I’m with him
Something inside
Starts to burning
And I’m filled with desire
Could it be a devil in me
Or is this the way love’s supposed to be?
It’s like a heat wave
Burning in my heart (It’s like a heat wave)
I can’t keep from crying (It’s like a heat wave)
It’s tearing me apart
Whenever he calls my name
Soft, low, sweet, and plain
Right then, right there, I feel that burning flame
Has high blood pressure got a hold on me
Or is this the way love’s supposed to be?
It’s like a heat wave
Burning in my heart (It’s like a heat wave)
I can’t keep from crying (It’s like a heat wave)
It’s tearing me apart
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh, heat wave
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh, heat wave
Sometimes I stare in space
Tears all over my face
I can’t explain it, don’t understand it
I ain’t never felt like this before
Now that funny feeling has me amazed
Don’t know what to do, my head’s in a haze
It’s like a heat wave
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(But it’s all right, girl)
Oh
(Go ahead, girl)
Yeah, yeah
(Well, it’s all right, girl)
Oh
(Can’t miss it, that’s love, girl)
I feel it burning
(Don’t pass up this chance)
Right here in my heart
(It sounds like a true romance)
Don’t you know it’s like a heat wave?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (Burning, burning)
Oh (Burning, burning, burning)
Yeah, don’t you know it’s like a heat wave?
Burning right here (Burning, burning, burning)
In my heart (Burning, burning, burning)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (Burning, burning)
Oh (Burning, burning, burning)
108 Fahrenheit? Pfffft. That’s a cool summer day in the lower elevations of the desert Southwest.
Of course that’s at less than 20% humidity too. Bump that up to 30% or more then it becomes really miserable. Pretty sure anyone in the deep south or Texas/NM could tell you the same thing. I guess TX/NM is considered the Southwest. Hard to tell sometimes.
Aftr what was billed as a killer heat wave last week, we are experiencing September in July.
The weather chatrophists are eating crow sandwiches as cooling prevails
So, it’s summertime?

Heat Wave

We are having a heat wave
A tropical heat wave
The temperature’s rising, it isn’t surprising
She certainly can can-can
She started the heat wave
By letting her seat wave
And in such a way that the customers say
That she certainly can can-can
Gee, her anatomy
May the mercury jump to ninety-three
Yes, sir, we’re having a heat wave
A tropical heat wave
The way that she moves that thermometer proves
That she certainly can can-can
Gee, her anatomy
May the mercury jump to ninety-three
Yes, sir, we’re having a heat wave
A tropical heat wave
The way that she moves that thermometer proves
That she certainly can can-can
Ooh, we’re having a heat wave
Ooh, how she moves, thermometer proves
She certainly can can-can

+1000!
I think this summer is much milder than the last two in AZ. Crazy Winter though with 18”-30” of snow in one night depending on location. People in Flagstaff might be used to that but not at 3200’.
And we are not. This summer so far has not been as warm/hot as many others we’ve had before, and has been a lot wetter.
When some folks have it hotter, some have it cooler. That’s generally the way it works.
The weather is changing due to all those stupid windmills! That’s what is changing the climate.
They better rebuild that burnt Cathedral.
Somebody is mad.
The grass is still green in Texas, and it’s almost August.
Very mild.
If everyone would just wash their cars, then it wil rain the next day.
Happened to me yesterday. It was 105 on Wednesday so I washed my truck. It rained that night and the temperature dropped 20 degrees on Thursday.
