These Are the 5 Men the Federal Government Plans to Execute
New York Times via MSN ^ | 7/26/19 | Nicholas Bogel-Burroughs

No one on federal death row has been executed since 2003, but on Thursday, William P. Barr, the attorney general, announced that the government was resuming executions, starting with five men convicted of killing children.

The men, whose ages range from 37 to 67, have each been convicted of heinous crimes, and together have been involved in the slayings of 13 victims. The cases fell under federal jurisdiction because of how or where they were carried out.

All five are being held at a high-security federal prison in Terre Haute, Ind., where their executions are set for December and January. More executions will be scheduled, the Justice Department said in a statement. There are 62 people who are facing death sentences, according to the Bureau of Prisons, including the five whose execution dates were announced Thursday.

Good riddance to all of them, though I'll be amazed if any of the executions happen on schedule.

Some Demonrat lawyer type will advocate for letting them free and expunging their record since we have live birth abortions that are condoned by blue states.

I am convinced that the change in federal policy by AG Barr has little to do with these 5 men. I am convinced that this is preparation for Comey, Brennan, Hillary and Obama. Traitors need to hang.

Ayanna Pressley opposes death penalty.

will the Democrats ‘running’ for Prez be asked about this at the debates?

They should start with the dirtbags on military death row. Hassan, Akbar, Ronald Gray, etc.

While I fully agree those four need to face the maximum punishment allowable, they're never going to face justice. The system protects the elites.

Personally I find capital punishment barbaric and error-prone. Vulvar it does nothing to instill fear in future perpetrators unless it were in the Public Square, still barbaric. Better a lifelong suffering and repentance lots of public exposure to their misery. Let the future gang Bangerz and child killers the haunted by visions of what will happen to them rather than a quick injection and sleep.

While I don't disagree with you, if execution gives closure and satisfaction to the family of the victims then that alone justifies it.

‘’’Better a lifelong suffering’’’

I tell you what. Let’s make a deal.

Those who want lifetime imprisonments can be the ones who pay for lifetime incarceration.

Those who have no problem with executions can be the ones who pay for the rope.

Sounds like a fair proposition to me.

Wrong.
Check Freakanomics sometime.
IIRC, every execution deters about three murders.
