House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are set to meet Friday, a spokesperson for Pelosi confirmed to The Post.
The sit down was originally expected to happen Thursday. The date change was first reported by ABC News.
A spokesperson for Ocasio-Cortez told The Post “no comment.”
The meeting is supposed to be a next step in bringing together a sometimes-fractured Democratic caucus, with the social media savvy “Squad” splitting from Pelosi on recent votes.

The groundwork for the meeting was laid last Thursday, after a diverse set of Democratic leaders — that consisted of Caucus Chairman Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), Congressional Progressive Caucus Co-Chairs Reps. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) and Mark Pocan (D-Wis.), New Democrat Coalition Chair Rep. Derek Kilmer (D-Wash) and Blue Dog Coalition Chair Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-Fla.) — sent out a statement of solidarity that was described by one source as “collective de-escalation.”

I see this a little differently. There are videos & pictures of “The Squad” in recent days and AOC looks decidedly uncomfortable standing beside the others. I’m wondering if she is savvy enough to realize she needs to break with the other 3 (who are really going off the rails, and there’s been some dirt dug up on them) and create her own little niche within Nancy’s umbrella of protection?

Nancy Pelosi and AOC are like participants in a continuous Bring Your Great-Granddaughter to Work Day event.
Since Congress is one of the few places on earth where most of the workers refuse to retire until well past seventy, young people have few opportunities to join in the proceedings and have their views represented.
So no wonder AOC has become so popular with young people. If she hadn’t rebelled against the leadership of the senile, controlling Nancy Pelosi, she’d be like Meghan Markle having to put up with the over-controlling dictates of the ninety-plus-year-old Queen of England.
The Queen of England will not step down, but Queen Nancy has essentially been deposed by AOC and her supporters.
