National Education Associationheld its annual convention in Houston the beginning of July. Attended by thousands of delegates on behalf of teachers and educators across the country, the meeting includes a Representative Assembly where resolutions and new business items are proposed and voted on.
This year, 6,000 NEA delegates (a low attendance compared to previous years) approved teaching the concept of White Fragility in trainings and staff development, endorsed the fundamental right to abortion under Roe v. Wade, and called on the U.S. government to accept responsibility for the destabilization of Central American countries and that this destabilization is a root cause of the recent increase of asylum seekers in the United States, to name a few.
But a proposal focused on, wait for it, student learning, was defeated.
New Business Item 2 proposed the NEA should re-dedicate itself to the pursuit of increased student learning in every public school in America by putting a renewed emphasis on quality education.

white fragility?
Hard core pinkos. Beed to be removed.from anything involving American childeen.
I had to look it up — it’s basically the idea that White people get unhappy if you constantly accuse them of being racist. They take it personally. They don’t think they are. White people are very fragile on this topic.
There is a book out there that tries to convince White People to stop being so fragile, admit their guilt, and basically accept the fact that everything bad in the world is their fault.

I read the 1st 5 or 6 points from their entire agenda to a young person, who was aghast.
Gotta have Science & Technology in there. At the top, I would advise.
Next installment of Critical Race theory, a social model that depends on racial identity but tries to deny it to 45% of the U.S. population.
Abolish government schools.
If anybody is a teacher and still paying dues to this front organization, remember, as of this year you can opt out. By law, you don't have to support them.
And we’re the racists.
Those folks just can’t help themselves. It oozes from their pores...
Sure thing.
It’s horrifying.
I love when young white liberal chicks get out of college and learn they are far too fragile to save the inner city kids like in that movie playing in their brain.
Get you children away from public schools, fast!
America, under what Madison called a "benign" government influence, became a place of individual freedom, creativity, productivity, and plenty--enough to share with the world.
Other places, under the spell of these ideas current ideas of "socialism" and Utopia, have come and gone, or, if they exist, they are miserable places where tyrannical clowns squelch creativity among the citizens, destroy productivity, produce poverty and gloom, and look to other countries to sustain their people, while the leaders soak up all that the citizens produce.
Yet, in America, the beneficiaries of the Founders' system of free people and limited government prattle on and on about how they're going to "fight" for the little people whose votes they covet!
Enough already!
While I hope that some Freeper can explain in the thread what the term actually means, and have some sort of authority to back up the explanation.
That said, it sounds to me like for the sake of becoming the antithesis of Lake Woebegone they have come up with a victim term that means “white snowflake” and now everyone can be disadvantaged.
This ain’t your Father’s America.
