Dog walkers say someone appears to be intentionally placing thousands of pieces of broken glass in the ground all around Dave Bartlett Park, an off-leash dog park in Manotick.
CTV News via VladTepesBlog Dog walkers fear someone is deliberately trying to harm their dogs. “Nobody thinks this is an accident,” said Dana McPhail. “There was 50, 60 people here yesterday everybody was upset and everybody was saying somebody doesn’t want this dog park here; somebody wants to hurt dogs.”
McPhail and other concerned dog owners placed signs and caution tape around the affected areas warning others of the threat of broken glass on the ground. McPhail said city crews arrived Tuesday and Saturday to clean the mess. Bartlett Park covers nearly 40-acres of land along the Rideau River in Manotick and serves as one of the city’s few remaining off-leash dog parks.

INN A letter was sent a few weeks ago to a local newspaper with a message from the “Revolutionary Islamic Force” claiming responsibility for sabotaging beaches north of Toronto and warning that similar operations would be carried out on other beaches throughout and north of Toronto.
The letter notes the motive for the action is Canada’s refusal to embrace Islam and continued following of the “Great Satan,” the United States.
“Infidels, you allow your women to walk on the beach naked and disgraceful. Your women are prostitutes,” the letter said, threatening to destroy tourist sites, attack people, carry out attacks on trains, poison drinking water, and burn forests. The letter recommends that Canadian citizens convert to Islam and follow the dictates of Muhammad.
Dogs deserve a nice large fenced in back yard, a bowl of cool water, plenty of food and kids to play with and attentive adults. Another canine friend is a good idea.
Anything short of that is uncalled for.
We are on the same page. It has to be a coyote proof fence though.
You two should be banned from owning dogs. Why post such nonsense? Fear the flea.
Probably don’t hate the dogs, they probably hate the owners. Rectal adits that fail to clean up,behind their pets.

Some dogs owners are very rude.not everyone wants their dogs to greet every dog in the neighborhood.I prefer a respectful distance even when I have my dogs leashed. That goes double for small children approaching without supervision.always curb your dog especially if someone went to the effort to post signs. Nobody wants huge dog urine burn circles on their lawn.

My solution, people in the trees with shotguns loaded with rock salt so the next time the people who did this try a repeat they get a burning lesson and souvenirs.

Yes. I have to admit this is a risk. I take mine to a local dog park and once in a while there's a problem with some idiot bringing dogs that should never be brought to a public dog park but they are more the exception than the rule.
The IRGC went around some time back in Tran with poison.

Washed my dogs every Saturday.
After getting them soaked I would pour some pinesol from ears to tail, then wash as usual. Killed all the fleas and the dogs smelled like Christmas trees. Win win
Dogs are generally a good judge of character. That’s why they so intensely distrust muzzies.
I’m careful to feed them less than 6 lb.s at a time.
