Democrats have cynically dined out for years on the false narrative that President Trump was always trying to hold down Puerto Rico.
He hasn't resigned as the hundreds of thousands in the streets are demanding, saying he wants to finish his term before leaving with no re-election run, and that hasn't stopped the protests. In fact, they are going on full blast right now. He cheated them, he enriched himself, like his mentor Hillary Clinton, he effectively called them deplorables, and they were the ones who had to suffer the hurricane damage because of his Clintonesque contempt for them.
Conclusion? Trump was right all along. The U.S. under President Trump tried to help the island recover from its hurricane disaster and the local Hillary-linked leaders were the ones who kept it from getting to the locals - quite possibly in part because they wanted to Get Trump.

While of course I’m saddened by continuing hardship in Puerto Rico after the hurricane, the blame does not lie in the White House.
The media had tried to make Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico into “Trump’s Katrina”. But they found that this playbook didn’t work with Trump.
I’ve been asking the same question for some time. It seems the MSM blamed Trump but now that it was proven that the incompetence was a Dem governor they forget.
Gee. If only we had given Puerto Rico another $50 billion.
Starting with "they're not sending us their best," and extending through "Just found out that Obama had my wires tapped," to several others.
Each of which was derided as "crazy" and "delusional" by the MSM-Democrats, right up until we found out they were true.
Too bad the truth is always buried. The news outlets despise Trump, they really do. Just listen to them when they question him. The hatred and disrespect is like nothing in my life, even worse then RR.
You took excerpts, I appreciate the effort, and left a hole between the first two paragraphs. Had to read the actual article, oh the horror, and thereby violated Freeper protocol.
Trump is used to this, given his dealing with the Left-leaning crazies on the New York City Council since the early 1980’s.
Sorry, a bunch of extra ‘just laying around’ cash headed a little further east a few years ago.
Wet noodles at noon. No harm, no foul.
Or if the dems are purposely trying to harm President Trump by impending the repairs/improvements on the island.
For those that notice, there is a large ellipsis between the first and second paragraphs of the excerpt. In the linked article, there is the bulk of the entire article that identifies the “He” in the second excerpt paragraph as the Puerto Rican president, not President Trump.
They like it here in America.
Wake up. The guy who is being attacked here is the governor, who was PRO Trump. This is a move by the left to get him out of office.
It’s unlikely that Spain will attack the United States from Puerto Rico anytime soon. Why not cut it loose?
I have family and some friends who live in PR and during this recovery I was told the containers delivered by us were sitting on the docks rotting because the order was out not top clear the roads for delivery. temporary runway lights were stolen as soon as they were in place to limit the number of transport planes landing. The rats at their best
First of all, Puerto Ricans, while living in Puerto Rico, are SUBJECTS of the United States. Only when they come to the mainland of the United States, are they actually CITIZENS, and only while they remain here. When they return to Puerto Rico, they again assume the designation of subject. A fine point, to be sure, but a distinction that does exist.
And secondly, the aid was sent, it was physically present on the island of Puerto Rico, but it was deliberately withheld by the local officials at the Commonwealth and municipal levels. Much of it, in fact, was subject to weathering and rat infestation, and therefore useless anyway
First of all, Puerto Ricans pay NO FEDERAL INCOME TAX unless they live her in the US......but they get ALL the benefits!
Lets all say the Puerto Rican Politicians Motto!
Its Never So Bad That We Cant Steal Some More
Starve people, deny the medical care and deny them shelter because, well, TRUMP!
