News of the OZY Fest cancellation wasn’t sitting well with out-of-state ticket holders on Friday, with many traveling from far and wide to be at the two-day Central Park event — which cost a whopping $399 to attend.
New Yorkers, on the other hand — who blasted the city for renting out a typically free public space and “going capitalist” — were ecstatic

Scheduled for this weekend in Central Park, the cultural festival, now in its fourth year, had a lineup that included John Legend, Trevor Noah, Megan Rapinoe, Padma Lakshmi, Malcolm Gladwell, Spike Lee and Mark Cuban.
Some real intellectual heavyweights there.
A leftist festival starring extremely mediocre musicians like John Stephens aka John “Legend” and other leftist morons with extremely pretentious names. And then they have live “discussions” - ie; Trump bashing - with US hating lesbian soccer putz Megan Rapinoe and Beto ORourke, Spike Lee....Just try to imagine the worst kind of leftist hell going on in the worst kind of leftist sewerhole in existence on the east coast - NYC, and you start to get an idea of it. And incredibly, people paid actual money to go to this.

I wouldn't call that "going capitalistic." Rather, I would call it another example of greedy Progressive government looking for an additional source of revenue.
The greediest, more money-hungry people I've ever met have been Progressives/Liberals/Democrats.
People actually paid money to sit out in the heat in Central Park just to hear that soccer lesbian bellowing ignorant political slogans and doing weird pelvic thrusts across the stage?

I’m glad one of our best Parks commissioners, Adrian Benepe, spoke up about this. His father was the founder of the green markets. A family truly concerned about our city. Adrian also gave us permission to use Dag Hammarskjold Park across from the UN for one of our FR UN protest events.

Should have let it go on! Might have gotten a few of the legendary thinkers with heat exhaustion . . . and we could have measured before and after temperatures to see how much global warming their lectures caused . . .
I heard a lot of radio advertising for this for at least the last month, maybe earlier. Good luck getting those refunds!
