The non binary scouts? One more fine institution ruined by pedos and lefys.

Knives are prohibited for visitors.

One of the secret service agents in Nancy’s detail asked me what I carried, and I showed him my grandfather’s scouting knife which still gleamed like new from the generations who cared for it. Last time I saw it, my nephew had it rusting up on a shelf.

Safety briefings? I just don’t recognize the world we’ve created.

Scouts are done.

What we need now is something like Young Freedom Lovers and Commie Killers.

I won't be there. However...

Notwithstanding the problems in BSA Scouting - and to be sure, they sure do exist - Scouting remains one of the BEST programs (outside of the family) with regard to the proper formation of tomorrow's leaders. The Scout Law and Oath contain the raw material upon which boys learn the leadership and values that will fuel their maturity. Over 100 years of success is a testimony to the Program.

Was America worthless when Obama was President?

Is America ruined because there are leftys and pedos roaming the streets?

Maybe you turned you back on America because of the guy at the top or the filth that welled up from the sewer. The Founders knew better and gave us a government that would stand the test of time.

In the same spirit, Scouting will outlive the temporal rot currently infecting her (and the tired cynics) and continue to do what she's always done...make today's boys tomorrow's leaders.

A few weeks ago, I looked at the current issue of Boy's Life, the Boy Scout magazine. The cover featured girls' soccer, which was also the subject of the lead article. Back when I was a Boy Scout, a lead-off article in Boy's Life about any girl's sport, to say nothing of a gay sport like soccer, would have been unthinkable. In those days, Boy's Life was full of ads for firearms, air rifles, knives, bull whips, fishing gear, etc.--"boy things" which have long vanished from its pages.

If I had a boy today, I would absolutely not allow him to join the Boy Scouts. I would encourage him to join Trail Life USA, the youth organization that seeks to turn boys into men instead of snowflakes.

On my honor to do my best, to do my duty to God and country and to obey the scout law. To help other people at all times. To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight!!!!

There was some discussion of our boys’ going up for a day, but I don’t know if anything came of it. I suppose someone will let me know if they need to pack!

A group of Scouts from San Marino, Italy, is coming to Webelos Adventure Camp tomorrow on their way to the Jamboree.

You are basing your decision on whether or not your child would benefit from a time-tested program of leadership and moral development, delivered by a LOCAL TROOP, in which you would likely participate....on a magazine put out by the national office?

I share with you a disdain for soccer. But just like America from 2009-2016 wasn't defined by the Executive Branch, Scouting isn't defined by Boy's Life or national. I can assure you, the overwhelming majority of the rank and file Scouts and leaders aren't messed up like some of the national folks.

Ditto. Our youngest son is an Eagle Scout. Were he young today there is no way on earth that his mom and I would EVER allow him to be involved in this now perverted organization.

He might get raped, morally twisted, gender confused, or ...fill in the blank.

Tragic what the BSA leadership has allowed to happen FOR MONEY. Gotta keep those donations pouring in and we especially don’t want to upset the Sodomite Nazi perversion bragade, or the PC feminazi SJW’s.

I would have to thoroughly investigate a local troop before allowing a kid to join. Make sure there are no “chicken hawks” among the adult staff, no girls in the troop, and that the kids aren’t being indoctrinated to become social justice warriors.

I was on the other coast, but I remember the event well. We held what was called a "Jambo-Rally" at California High School Stadium in Whittier, Calif. to celebrate the event. It included a re-enactment of a Revolutionary War battle. A few members of our troop, including one of the captains of my patrol, did go to Valley Forge.

I am an Eagle Scout and a member of the All West Coast College Soccer team for my senior year in college. I agree that the local troop handles all the important decisions in scouting and I participated totally in our son’s scouting program. He too received the Eagle award and credits scouting for much of his moral code of ethics that he adheres to today.

For this reason I say there is nothing wrong with scouting. And please remember that soccer is a sport that is played world wide (although at a lower level here in the US). There is nothing wrong with the sport even if the captain of the US woman’s team is an ungrateful bitch. I would not judge all of the sport by her behavior.

There may well be other programs on a par with scouting but at today’s understanding, being an Eagle Scout is still worthy of being put on a job resume. And it still has the same meaning even though I believe it has been watered down over the years. I can’t do anything about that but I would not deny the experience to any young man or woman who would get something wholesome out of it.

I visited the Jamboree at Valley Forge in 1957. I was supposed to attend, but an appendectomy changed things kinda. Dad drove the family down from NYC for a weekend and I spent some time with fellow troop members who were there.
