Say what you want about Cruise, but the man has made some phenomenal movies. That's my impression too. I may not agree with his or even many other Hollyweirdo's politics or funky religion's but I do still appreciate a good movie.
Cruise has aged exceptionally well compared to many; including me. I look forward to seeing this movie. I think of it as the 'other' bookend to match the first one.

Top Gun isn’t out of Miramar anymore, it’s a Marine base. They’d have to change to Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada.
