Escalating tensions on Capitol Hill erupted into a contentious floor fight in the House of Representatives on Tuesday afternoon, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke in favor of a proposed resolution condemning "racist" comments by President Trump -- even as Republican leaders stood steadfast behind the president.
As Pelosi's remarks turned personal, Georgia Republican Rep. Doug Collins rose to challenge her and demand that her words be "taken down." The extraordinary rebuke, the first of its kind by a member of Congress and a speaker of the House in decades, theoretically could result in Pelosi being barred from speaking on the floor for the remainder of the day.
"There is no place anywhere for the president's words, which are not only divisive, but dangerous -- and have legitimized and increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of color," Pelosi, D-Calif., said. "It's so sad because you would think that there would be a given that we would universally, in this body, just say, 'Of course. Of course.'"

This is a Democrat controlled House. I don’t WANT them to “get to work,” since their agenda has nothing in common with my principles. Telling a governing body run by Democrats to get to work is like telling an arsonist to get to work.

1. For all this talk of “racist” tweets, what specifically do the Trump haters contend is racist about the tweets? They never say. CNN had to trot out a historian today to make up a connection to some people after the Civil War advocating sending the former slaves to Africa. Ludicrous.
2. Is it “racist” to say that America-hating (and Jew-hating) Congresswoman Omar should return to Somalia? What on earth is racist about that?
3. As far as I can tell, AOC is White. Sorry Suburban Sandy. “Hispanic” is not a race and Hispanics can be of any race. They can be white (the King of Spain), black, Indian or who knows what other racial backgrounds, and any combination thereof. But to me, Suburban Sandy pretty much looks white.
4. And who is the black congresswoman in this F Troop “squad” of America haters? Did she just join the Squad last week so they would have a black member? I have never heard of or seen her before.

I am still upset by the way the Reps treated Steve King for his alleged white nationalist comments. King was taken off all committees. Is it any wonder the Dems can cower Reps who are terrified about being labeled a racist.
Trump did not tweet or utter racist remarks. This is another hoax.
"Trump is a racist" is a statement of fact to the DEMs and the press. It's not the only lie they persist in. But persist they must, because to admit it was a lie is worse.
