PS - I am NOT Eric July.................................................
AND I don’t agree that “taxation is theft”, for the record.
It’s an opinion video.....
Moving to Africa is like “learning to code”.
To the extent that Income Tax is wage slavery, other compulsory taxation is theft.
Taxation is not theft, true enough. What it is is a “forced extraction” (ultimately at the point of a gun).
I liked the linked clip.
Running comments under it were pretty good but I had to click off - couldn’t keep up with the added ones.
To the extent that taxation is reasonable, it is not theft. When it becomes unreasonable and objectionable to a plurality of the governed, levied on the masses by an insulated, unconcerned governing body, it is absolutely and unequivocally theft. . . and by that time, akin to armed robbery because it is coerced.
Generally speaking, with the exception of Scientology, Churches only ask for a 10% tithe.
Why should the State seize more than God Himself rates?
Obviously The State believes it outranks God.
And if you don’t think it’s theft, try not paying and see what happens to you. A mugger is apt to do you far less damage.
Even as an agnostic, I think no more than a 10% tithe that a church would ask is what the Almighty State should demand.
I'm quite open to a lower rate to reflect the subordinate position of profane authorities to sacred ones.
10% is a whole lot closer to what it SHOULD be than to what it is. A self-employed person pays half again more than that JUST IN SOCIAL SECURITY TAX.
We should use our rights as citizens to pay LESS tax, but paying taxes in and of itself is Biblical.
The employed person “pays” the same amount - they just don’t “see” the first half.
Just taxation it is addressed in the Bible doesn’t make it not theft/partial slavery.
Just because taxation it is addressed in the Bible doesn’t make it not theft/partial slavery.
Just because taxation is addressed in the Bible doesn’t make it not theft/partial slavery.
can’t argue with that . . . and corporations don’t pay taxes . . . the customers of corporations pay corporate taxes.
I watch YoungRippa semi-regularly for comic geek stuff. Support my local Texans.
