President Trump's attack on left-wing congresswomen, including a jab that they should "go back" to their homelands, created a furor. But former House Speaker Newt Gingrich says it may be an example of Trump's strategic genius.
"It is useful to remember Trump doesn't play tic-tac-toe. He plays chess, and he's very often setting up a much deeper fight than you might think, looking at the surface," Gingrich told the Washington Examiner.
Trump's tweet was widely criticized as inaccurate and offensive, with three of four apparent targets actually born in the U.S. But Gingrich said Trump wanted to raise the profile of his targets and to more closely link their socialist and anti-Israel policies with the Democratic Party.

Of course, Trump is running against a cabal of hate filled Anti-Americans and every time they open their mouths they spew this hatred and on 9% of America agrees with them - it's actually a simple plan, it's just that the GOP is usually inept.
His Tweet also reattached RINOs to the Republican party, which stands four square with the communist Squad and against DJT.
I spar with leftists quite a bit. Thinking leftists (yes, they exist). They have been distancing themselves from the likes of AOC ever since that Amazon fiasco. They don’t even want to talk about that muslim nincompoop that married her brother. But trump is making these embarrassments the face of the democrat party. And well he should.
It’s gonna be a fun year.
The democrats have, for years, been throwing rocks from the safety of their glass houses. Trump is a target that is throwing back.

He wants to run against the most radical, extremist, socialist, communist, America-hating, out-of-the-mainstream democrat party and candidate possible, and the Jihad Squad is really making this possible.
I detect the hand of Brad Parscale here, as he probably has the best sense for what the “Trump swing voters” think. I can’t see many who supported Trump in 2016 switching over to a candidate that favors the job-killing GND, free stuff for all, etc.
And those glass houses now have a lot of broken glass shards all over the place. :-)
I don't think he ever heard someone from the right get in his grill faster and harder. He limped away like a chastised two year old.
Wasn't what I call civil, but I didn't name call as he did. It was a great deal of fun. He had never received that kind of push back.
They hate push back more than anything, particularly if they get beat in a rational, intelligent way.
That person had obviously spent too much time in their leftist bubble.
The problem with folks in that situation is that they see conservatives as two dimensional cartoon characters. And, frankly, a lot of conservatives make the same mistake regarding leftists. It’s something you learn the hard way.
I’ve been sparring with them since 1999. They will pull out arguments you never saw coming. Often you never saw it coming because it’s a stupid argument. But if you can’t counter it, it will not be exposed as stupid, and your lack of a response means you lose that round.
Plus, Omar is from Minnesota, a state Trump hopes to flip.
Minnesotans are pretty moderate pro-american people, and highlighting Omar among Democrats turns them off of the whole party.
lol...they’ve been calling Trump a racist since the campaign. To most people the media is becoming like the boy who cried wolf. Nobody believes them anymore.
I haven't met one yet who doesn't. It's shameful how the vast majority have drifted so far left, and have so much hate for this country and those with differing opinions.
I have been sparring with them since the eighties, when I changed from being apolitical to conservative. There is a huge difference between then and now, just huge.
