Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) said Monday that he plans to force a vote on impeachment this month following President Trumps inflammatory tweets telling a group of progressive Democratic congresswomen to "go back" to where they came from.
Green who first unsuccessfully forced a vote on impeachment in 2017, with just 58 Democrats supporting the effort on the floor said he feels he needs to take action due to the presidents recent rhetoric.
"I will again, this month, bring impeachment to a vote on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives for bigotry in policy, harmful to our society," he tweeted.
In a press conference streamed on Facebook Live, the Texas Democrat said he plans to move forward before Congress breaks for its August recess, adding to tolerate bigotry is to perpetuate bigotry, especially when you can do something about it.

Thanks. At least they can stop the stone cutting sculpting on Mt.Rushmore just in time. These Trump hating "patriots" tend to get confused for each other.
What part of high crimes and misdemeanors was in Trump’s statements?
Please don’t confuse the Dems with facts. They hate that. You are a meany when you do that./s
To the blacks in the House and Senate disliking, disagreeing with, or hating Trump is grounds for impeachment.
No need for that Constitution which they have never read (too long and not worth plowing through).
Just hate someone and then impeach and remove them. Simple.
Not to mention that they probably don’t know how to read.
It’s hard to tell them apart when they all sound alike.
That was Hank Johnson. Both Hank’s and Al’s i.q. if added together would total less that one.
Congress can define High Crimes and Misdemeanors any way they damn well please.
As long as they have the votes.
Hey, let the House discuss, discuss, vote, discuss, vote and vote some more on impeachment.
The more time they waste on something that is going nowhere is less time they can spend further screwing up the country.
The name Elijah Cummings comes to mind.
Actually, can you imagine Maxine Waters voting on a House bill which says "Pursuant to prior codicils and existing titles or deeds not specifically probated by heirs before the sale the tax shall be applied in full to all such parties...."
Gimme a break.
No, it was Hank Johnson.
I thought Geico gave up the Caveman
Is laughing at Whiners an impeachable offense ? LOL
Sending tweets we don't like is impeachable. It says so right there in the Constitution. Thomas Jefferson, when he wasn't fathering illegitimate children by slave women, never sent bad tweets.
I hear ya’
All of them are a stain on our body politic. It blows my mind how the CBC always comes out against policies that would actually HELP minorities and are always pushing policy that tears and keeps them down. Cummings is one of the worst offenders of that.
Trump just said what a lot of Americans say privately.
Yum yum eat um up!
“HANK JOHNSON IS DUMBER THAN A BOX OF ROCKS.”
They don’t call it house of Representatives for nothing.
Consider who he’s representing.
I don’t believe there is a Constitutional or statutory limit on the number of times they can bring an impeachment motion in a session. However, losing puts the majority at risk. And they really need new HC&M each time.
Some needs to tell Al Green to go eff himself, and the wetbacks he rode in on.
