The Oregon Republican Party launched Monday a recall campaign against Democratic Gov. Kate Brown after a contentious legislative session that saw her sic state troopers on runaway GOP legislators fighting her climate-change agenda.
The recall paperwork, signed Monday by Oregon GOP chair Bill Currier, accused her of ignoring or overturning the will of the voters on drivers licenses for illegal aliens and tax increases, as well as denying citizens protection from the domestic terrorist threat known as Antifa.
Governor Brown has subjected the people of Oregon to a long line of abuses of power while at the same time refusing to address their legitimate concerns, said the recall statement. She has fostered a toxic political environment that stifles meaningful discourse. She has threatened retaliation against her own citizens when her political agenda is not successful in the legislature.
Ms. Brown said she was not backing down after 11 Senate Republican legislators killed a Democratic cap-and-trade bill by fleeing the state for a week, denying the majority Democrats a quorum, near the end of the legislative session.
The Republicans ultimately returned two days before the session adjourned June 30 to take care of other legislative business.
The governor later praised legislators for an extraordinary session, citing bills on paid family and medical leave, health-care funding and housing investments, as well as the Student Success Act, which raises $1 billion per year for education by hiking taxes on the states highest-earning businesses.
She also vowed to revisit the cap-and-trade bill, calling it unfinished business, and hinted at executive action.

“Oregon GOP launches recall effort against Democratic Gov. Kate Brown”
Go for it. Show that spine that’s been missing for so long. Make the Democrats soil their britches.
Oregon is the nuttiest state in the union.
Didn’t work when the Dems tried it in WI, isn’t likely to work in OR... in fact, it will probably make the Governors position stronger.
Electorate doesn’t take too kindly to politicians trying to undo elections....
Just on its face, odds of this thing succeeding are incredibly low.
Amen! He's an complete idiot.
And Newsome? How many signatures needed? ONE Republican this time. Intellectual no starlet like Arnold. My choice would be VDH.
She’s won 2 elections in 2 years, and won them both by 7 point... Hardly something that is going to make anyone quake in their boots.
This is going to be just as unsuccessful in OR, as it was in WI when the Dems were ones trying this stuff....
Ultimately, it will likely just strengthen the Governors hands.
Stupid move IMHO.... Electorates do NOT take well to politicians trying to undo elections.
It seems to be getting material support from the Republican Party in Colorado.
OREGON FREEPERS: Please keep us posted on this and post any solicitations for funds. I’d like to contribute and many of the rest of us might.
There have been a lot of efforts on FB in this direction. Nice to see something official. Not optimistic about getting rid of the little hag though.

The left will claim dog whistle.
Worked in California.
Well that explains why the GOP won the House in the last election...Oh wait they didn't.
California was suffering from rolling blackouts and high energy costs... which the public took out on Davis... Davis also had taken 2MM from a Union and made sure their members got $5,000,000,000 in pay raises.. California was also in a huge economic contraction from the dot com bubble bursting etc...
That is not remotely the climate of Oregon today.
This is a stupid move that will backfire on the GOP... assuming they can even get a recall vote to happen.
This i just GOP trying to undo an election they lost, because they don’t like the outcome... and Public doesn’t go along with that crap.
