Kim Darroch reportedly told a U.S. official that Christopher Steele, the author of the discredited anti-Trump dossier that the FBI used to justify secretly monitoring members of the Trump team, was “absolutely legit.” Steele, in producing the dossier and several of its false or unsubstantiated claims, was funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee.
The leaked diplomatic documents were published by the The Mail on Sunday, days after the paper published several anti-Trump messages Darroch sent to Downing Street from 2017 to present.
Numerous problems with the Steele dossier’s reliability have surfaced, including several issues that were brought to the FBI’s attention before it cited the dossier in its FISA application and subsequent renewals. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report made plain, for example, that then-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen did not travel to Prague to conspire with Russian hackers seeking to access Democrat files, as the dossier alleged. And there was no evidence of a compromising, lurid tape of Trump, nor evidence of Trump-loyal hackers “in the US.”
Mueller also was unable to substantiate the dossier’s claims that former Trump aide Carter Page had received a large payment relating to the sale of a share of Rosneft, a Russian oil giant. And Fox News has confirmed that Steele provided clearly false information to a State Department contact prior to the FISA warrant being issued — including a claim that there was a Russian consulate in Miami that was running a foreign influence operation, when no such consulate exists.

I realize that political parties “assist” in supporting their favored candidate, but this smacks of collusion between Teresa Mays’ lackeys and U.S. Clinton supporters in the O’Zero Administration. I hope to God someone digs deeply into this scandal and that these scumbags get prison time.
The pompous Colonel Blimp needs to fly home as soon as possible. As ambassador, he is supposed to represent the interests of his country in and to the United States, not act as the political toady and bootlicker for the out party.

Ms Oakeshott has also sought to distance her partner from the scandal.
She said: “Richard had nothing to do with the cables.
“He has never seen them, never handled them and was not involved in acquiring them.”

So the British government attacked America. Typical.
Steele is a legit leftist, much like Sir Doofus.
They need to worry more about pleasing America. Not us pleasing that socialist monarchist island that has tried on at least 5 occasions to destroy or gain control over America.
And I am only counting major incidents.
The revolution, the attack in 1812, trying to help fracture us in the Civil war (the Russian fleet deployed to help protect us from a British attack)
The successful effort to launch a national bank they had major control over that issued the currency instead of our constitutional method. And skipping over insults like their threats to our neutral shipping in WWI, cajoling us into coming into WWI, their treatment of us as a potential enemy in the 1920s naval limitations treaties, their prolonging WWII to ensure the safety of their colonies, their attempt to drag us into the Suez crisis, their bitter attacks on us in the Central American wars in the 80s.
And now, the British government has attempted to subvert our elections by using their intel community to slander our President.
The alliance is fine with the British people. I have no problem with them. But the British government and it’s deep state is an enemy of American independence, and has been so for a few centuries.
