The Teresa May “conservative” government was all in on helping secure the election for team Hillary and help provide any and all assistance necessary. When the proper result didn't happen she both allowed and encouraged the British intelligence apparatus to work with Team Comey,Brennan,Clapper and McCabe to help restore “sensible government” since the rubes in America elected the wrong candidate. If Robert Mueller was looking for foreign interference in the 2016 election there's where he would have found it.

Yes, exactly. Buried in some of the NYTimes articles about this affair is the information that Sir Kim, prior to his “diplomatic” assignments, was a National Security Advisor to the British government, with close ties to MI6 and the US intelligence community, ties that he retained as Ambassador to the US. And that he coordinated meetings between those intelligence organizations.

So you need to wonder what his role was in the formulation and dissemination of the Steele dossier.

And using his contacts with members of Congress (which the NYTimes also makes reference to), what was he doing to undermine Trump administration policies (like tipping off Congress people in advance on stuff he had become privy to, so that they would have time to arrange some resistance).

Whoever did the leak of the Kim cables wanted him out of DC, pronto - and it wasn’t just a matter of his making disrespectful remarks about Trump, although the hysterical reaction of the British establishment to his forced resignation seems designed to have you think that Trump’s response was just a silly temper tantrum.
