Barr Is Right: The Trump-Russia Conspiracy Is ‘Bogus,’ And Mueller Proved It
The Federalist ^ | July 9, 2019 | David Harsanyi

Posted on 07/11/2019 11:40:47 AM PDT by detective

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Attorney General William Barr reiterated his intention to find out why the Obama administration launched an investigation into the Republican Party presidential candidate’s campaign during the 2016 campaign.

Now, if the political parties in the sentence above were reversed, we would be in the midst of the biggest scandal in our lifetimes. As things stand, however, we are again compelled to argue over semantics. And one Barr quote, in particular, has gotten Democrats and their media allies agitated.

“What we’re looking at is: What was the predicate for conducting a counterintelligence investigation on the Trump campaign?” Barr asked. “How did the bogus narrative begin that Trump was essentially in cahoots with Russia to interfere with the U.S. election?”

The usual suspects found it “dishonest” that the AG would refer to a narrative that has been debunked by an aggressive two-year independent counsel as “bogus.” “Barr offers yet another slanted quote about the Russia investigation” a Washington Post headline reads.

The Mueller Investigation was far more effective in interfering in American politics than anything Russian Twitter users or hackers could ever accomplish.

“Barr Is Right: The Trump-Russia Conspiracy Is ‘Bogus,’”

Yes, he is right. But the DEMOCRAT-Russia conspiracy was/is real, and he needs to thoroughly investigate it.

If you read the whole article, and click the “read” link therein, the writer feeds us the BS about Papadapolous claiming dirt on Shrillary, etc. Mr. P was hand fed that dirt, and a bunch more by FBI/CIA assets who set him up as a patsy, to “create” a bogus predicate for the bogus investigation.

The Mueller probe got endorsed by Dem, GOP

*************

Exactly right. Let’s never forget that the GOP acted as enablers (as usual) and did virtually nothing to fight this partisan witch hunt. And so was their refusal for two years to support the Trump agenda.

And now the blood sucking GOP/RNC is trying to piggyback on Trump’s popularity and leech as much money as they can off of him. Disgraceful.

Yes, essentially, the FBI treated a campaign’s foreign policy platform as a criminal offense.

Yep. More subpoenas from Democrats today. More nothing from Senator Graham and the rest of the GOP controlled Senate.

Graham is nothing but a lot of hot air.

“GOP controlled senate” is an oxymoron if there ever was one.

True that.

To paraphrase General Patton: “I’d rather have a Democrat in front of me than a Republican behind me.”

In 2017, Lindsey was one of Trump’s hardest critics,
In 2018, Lindsey became Trump’s “ally”.

Had nothing to do with John McCain’s health condition?

The GOP is simply pathetic. A soulless party with no convictions, principles or beliefs.

The GOP is simply pathetic. A soulless party with no convictions, principles or beliefs.

Conservatives with character find public service repellent. Soulless and narcissistic sociopaths find it insanely attractive.

Maybe representatives should serve anonymously, with a one-term limit. Only their backgrounds could appear on the ballot and no images of them could legally be distributed. They would be paid one million dollars for their term of service, with a hard ban on future lobbying.

Until some radical change like this is made, the process is going to keep forcing slimeballs on us.

Years ago I was stationed in Washington, D.C. Every month I would go to a meeting of one of my technical societies. I always wore my uniform. The speaker was always a high government official who spoke on the technical programs of his/her agency. The talks were unclassified and open to the public. A regular attendee was the Air Attache from the Soviet Embassy. He and I got to know each other fairly well. I'm sure he thought I was from some intelligence agency, checking up on him, but no, I was just being friendly. I always reported the contact to our intelligence people. I sure he did the same with his people.
