On one hand, now I’m racing against the clock to get the bulk of the yard work done. And here in Alabama, it’s been triple-digit heat indices - or close to it - for days now. Not to mention humidity your can practically chew and another weekend of fishing shot. On the other hand, I’ll happily batten down and take at least a brief respite from the jungle heat out there. As long as the power is on and the central air still works, let ‘er rip.

Near as I can tell, it went from low pressure area to a Tropical Storm, and must have been just briefly a Tropical Depression.
Current predictions are alot of rain towards New Orleans and Baton Rouge - who do not need it.
May become a minimal Cat 1 before going ashore...
