Ross Perot, self-made billionaire, renowned patriot and two-time independent candidate for U.S. president, has died after a five-month battle with leukemia.

Trump, you are looking after, his legacy.
Good life.
Bye Ross, thanks for the Clinton presidency BTW.You little weasel.
The little “hand grenade with a bad haircut” hated Bush so badly he gave us Clinton, twice.
Both his campaigns were lies.
Tucker Carlson just had a nice tribute to Perot, citing how he was proven right about several things he campaigned on.
Still cant forgive him for giving us Bill Clinton for eight years, though.
We disagree then.
I think if Perot won, America would not have sold out completely, to China.
Bye Sir. For real.
People say that, but really, where is the evidence Perot pulled votes from Republican voters?
Any polls taken to see how many registered Dems voted for Perot?
How about those registered independent?
He got almost 20% of the popular vote, no? Clearly the public even then was frustrated with the political system, maybe even fed up.
"Nah, Look ... "
I supported Perot. “That giant sucking sound...” resonated with a lot of people. He was absolutely spot on.
I use to really not like the guy since it helped Clinton win. But now after seeing what I have seen (that being the HOP Establishment for what it is) I understand and have some respect for the guy.
Yes, Ross, you can finish ...
Strange mix politically. Strongly patriotic, loyal to his employees. So you can’t classify him as a country club republican. Pro abortion but anti gay, so you can’t classify him as a libertarian, or a member of the religious right. Regular churchgoer and a generous man.
Like I said.
I think Trump won, on pretty much what Perot ran on.
Trump however, was a much, much stronger candidate, so he won.
The two of them, share some very good qualities.
It didn’t help Perot when he bailed out of the race for a few weeks and then jumped back in. But, unlike real politicians, he was just putting his family first.
“I think if Perot won”
He never had a chance, ever. He ruined American politics for 8 years with Bill and then an endless onslaught by Hilary.
Ross Perot knew a lot about a few things, but did not understand or care about political results.
He was a patriot, OK in his own way.
A lot of IT Democrats voted for him.
Not specifically, but as per Codevilla, "while most of the voters who call themselves Democrats say that Democratic officials represent them well, only a fourth of the voters who identify themselves as Republicans tell pollsters that Republican officeholders represent them well".
Trump won on his own merits but Perot definitely broke ground for what was to come down the road.
I’m kinda wondering if Perot was a dry run for the Trump plan. I believe that Trump planned his run long ago. He didn’t just suddenly decide to run in 2016.
If not a dry run, then I’m sure the Perot campaign was studied by Trump and his people.
I knew it was bad news for Ross when Limbaugh started playing this on his program:
