The United States Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNT) won the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup on Sunday.
In a match against the Netherlands, the USWNT defeated the Netherlands with a 2-0 victory. The first goal, as a penalty goal, was scored by co-captain Megan Rapinoe and the second by Rose Lavelle.
This is the fourth time that the USWNT won the Women’s World Cup, solidifying the U.S.’s position as the country with the most Women’s World Cup victories. The USWNT also became defending champions as it has won in 1991, 1999, 2015, and now 2019.
Before the match started, Rapinoe protested again. During the Star Spangled Banner, she refused to sing and refused to place her hand over her heart, as she had done in previous Women's World Cup matches.
Even though they are set to be invited to the White House, Rapinoe stated multiple times in the past that she would not be visiting the White House if the USWNT team wins and she added, “I suspect not many, if any, of the other players [would attend the visit.]”
However, she did state that she would visit Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for a tour of the House of Representatives.

So they act in a way that creates a negative consequence and then say that their self-created suffering is the result of some sort of “*-ism”.
An acceptance of responsibility for ones own actions is a sign of a mature, well-adjusted, adult.
She is in part why I couldn’t pull for these individuals. There is blame though on whoever manages this mess.

Good call. Didn't she already start yammering about equal pay for female soccer players, or something? The grievance party will lover her. I can't wait to see her in a headscarf.
Since the US doesn’t have a National Female Soccer Team, It would be nice to have a male squad that was worth watching.
They don’t have to win championships. At this point,I would settle for competent.
They may be horrible but at least the male squad keeps their mouths closed about politics.

Yes, they did. Even some fans of other nations were shocked at the team’s disrespectful behavior.
The foreign fans stated that, if their players had pulled those shenanigans, they would be off the team, immediately.
This sham of a team is a huge embarrassment to the American people and it should be the death of women’s soccer. But it won’t, because the left will happily support them.
I have no problem supporting the men’s team, even as dreadful as they are. At least they exhibit civilized behavior.
