I would be happy if every sports league dropped the whole pretense that there is any nationalistic value to their enterprise, and just did sports.
Just get rid of all the Red White and Blue nonsense, and play the game.
Because every time they dress up their business in patriotic colors, they give Leftist scolds an opportunity to preen and posture.
I say, be done with it. Get rid of the Flags. Get rid of the Anthem. Get rid of trips to the White House, which serve no purpose, whatsoever. Just play ball, and that’s all.
End White House visits for sports teams. Its a custom and practice which has been corrupted and devalued.

Actually, it might. IMO, Soccer is not an American game. It gained what popularity it has here due to the influx of immigrants (legal or illegal) from other countries. Many (not all) of the people who are into the sport won't have a problem with he anti-American stance of some of the players; They may even agree with it. Nike actually increased sales after joining with POS Kaepernick. They'll probably give Rapinoe an endorsement deal.

Yeah, I refer to them as political prostitutes. Of course there are a lot of other names that cozy up to prostitute, but all that does is provide ammunition to get off the topic in question. And the other teammates that did not step forward separating themselves from this type of politics are not only condoning it, but are making themselves an accessory to it as you see who gets the ink. The team didn’t win, Rapinoe did as the soccer games are over and actually meant little in the scheme of things for the US. But the destruction of the country continues and what it represents continues with her, thus the team as they are forever pinned to her attacks by their allowing themselves to be used like my answer stated. And all they had to do was step away, and they didn’t.
