Cortez and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich engaged in a put-down battle over her recent visit to the US-Mexico border.
“Profoundly vicious, cruel and dishonest,” Gingrich said of the freshman Dem from NYC in a Fox News op-ed. “When you despise American values … lying is perfectly natural.”
“Ah yes, now Newt & the GOP are resorting to calling me a liar,” AOC tweeted Friday.
“I’ll take it as a compliment. Thanks,” she wrote, pointing to climate scientists and #MeToo survivors who, she said, Republicans have also accused of lying.

AOC is just too good to be true - a comedic villainess straight from central casting. Everything she says or does soon turns to President Trump’s advantage and sabotages his opposition. I hope she keeps it up.

I kind of thought it was an, “oh yeah.....” She had to thank them as she is everything Newt said and she really has no retort. The left can’t retort proven facts.

Sandy Cortez is becoming THE laughingstock of the United States House of Representatives.
