Anyone heard from his fan club lately? Are they still making excuses for him?
They knew what he was before, and supported him 100%, so they'll be laying low for a while.

He had many angles for what he’s done.

One was a cushy professor position that he wanted.

Plus everyone will want him on their liberal shows now.

He doesn’t give a #### about any position.

>> I have no problem with someone who votes entirely on principle, but in a legislative setting this will usually get you absolutely nowhere. <<<

I think its worse than that. I don't even think Amash votes the way he does for "principled" reasons. Rather, its for selfish personal reasons like "I dislike and distrust Israel because my family is Palestinian and resents Jews taking over that region of the Middle East" and "I can't stand Trump's foriegn policy because its ruining my business deals with China"

But Amash knows his OWN petty reasons would hardly win over conservative voters, so he hides behind more "noble" reasons like he's voting for so-and-so treasonous thing for "Constitutional" reasons and because he wants to safeguard "liberty" and so on.

The guy is a snake.

Ask yourself what Merrick Garland and whatever Gingsberg clone Shillery would have appointed to replace Kennedy would have given you.

Irreverent. Trump's campaign pledge was "I'll appoint proven rock solid constitutional conservative judges in the Scalia mold" NOT "I'll appoint squishy establishment judges that are less bad than the kind of judges Obama or Hillary would give you".

The always Trumpers are quick to gloat when we were wrong to doubt something Trump promised, but will never fess up when THEY were wrong to TRUST something Trump promised.

We'll keep hearing FReepers swoon about how awesome Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are until they vote with the 4 commie judges to uphold some "landmark" liberal precedent. Then the AlwaysTrumpers will say they are totally shocked and outraged by that and "no one could have seen it coming".

Well, SOME of us could anyway.

It’s “reverent” to me vis a vis what Lodi was saying, being dismissive of the massive and extreme necessity of maintaining a GOP majority in the Senate, Mitt and Lisa and Susie included. A democrap Senate would have confirmed Garland (and dozens of very important lower court nominations that were also blocked). In my opinion McConnell’s heroism in blocking consideration of Garland ends any discussion of the matter of whether having a Senate majority is paramount or not, it is.

Trump provided a list that was compiled by conservatives. Kavanaugh and Gorsuch were well-known on that list for a while.

Where were your objections before they were nominated? Who else on that list do you oppose?

What is your system that you would use to choose judges and to guarantee how they rule?

I am waiting to hear about your fool-proof system.

Agree. How devastating would be it if we don’t get another GOP confirmed John Roberts clone on the court?

That’s the first time in my life I’ve seen “McConnell” and “heroism” in the same sentence. Sorry but the Garland beltway skirmish is a fart in the hurricane of 30 years of GOP support of the open borders agenda. Shortly you’ll get many SCOTUS judges much worse than Garland and you can thank the K Street Lobbyist/Chicom owned Mitch McConnell and the rest of the GOP for it. They have flat out lied to voters for 30 years about wanting a secure border and fair immigration system. All the while promoting the open borders agenda once elected.

Tucker has great piece detailing how the GOP donor class has utterly abandoned Main Street GOP voters. I suggest you check it out.

Ask yourself why Mitt Romney and the rest of the “Republicans” who supported Hillary Criminal and her SCOTUS deserve your support. Ask yourself why Lindsay Graham and the rest of the Republicans who enable the police state tactics of the Mueller Coup deserve your support. They don’t, obviously.

DJ, you’re overthinking this. Do you really place so much credence on ACU ratings that you are willing to declare that Congressman Tom Massie is more conservative than State Rep Pat Moser because his ACU rating *in the U.S. House* is four measly points higher than her ACU rating *in the KY state house*? Different legislative bodies, different votes being rated ... you really can’t say that Moser’s 88% means that she voted less conservative than Massie and his 92%.

But, yes, of course Moser will be more “Establishment” than Massie, because Moser will want to pass President Trump’s agenda and other conservative legislation while Massie is a Ron Paul acolyte who has no loyalty whatsoever to conservative principles or, quite frankly, to our nation. Massie is Justin Amash without the Palestinian and Syrian ancestry, and will continue to vote like a Paultard if he stays in Congress. I know next to nothing about Moser, but I do know that she’s not a Paulbot, and I would support her even if the ACU rating for NY Congresswoman Stefanik (who is recruiting her because she’s trying to elect more Republican women to Congress, irrespective of whether they are more or less conservative than she is) was even lower than 32%.

Bottom line, Paulistinians like Tom Massie has no business representing conservative districts in Congress, and Moser would be a huge improvement over him. If you want to defeat Stafanik, then find someone more conservative than her that can win in her Upstate NY district and back him in the primary, but there is no reason to ascribe Stefanik’s voting record to Pat Moser. Massie is a Paulbot; Moser is not a Stefanikbot.
