Donald Trump Jr. had a scathing critique of the athletic company Nike after it decided to pull a sneaker bearing a flag used during the American Revolution.
Instead of using that older version of the American flag, Trump Jr. suggested Nike should unveil a communist-style shoe looking similar to the hammer-and-sickle logo of the former Soviet Union.
"If the Betsy Ross Flag, the flag of the American Revolution, is too offensive for Nike to commemorate The 4th of July maybe Nike should go with this... seems to be more in line with their views," Trump Jr. tweeted on Wednesday.
His attack came as Nike faced mounting criticism over its decision to halt the release of a shoe that had the Betsy Ross flag because it could "unintentionally offend" people.

Bought 2 pairs of sneakers. No Nikes but I bet a lot of lefties will buy their stuff now, a strage business model, showing you hate the US and it’s values but they do this all to cash like the biggest capitalists!
Birds of a commie feather...
Like the half white 2-term prior president, they are more Red than they are black, or white.
Since introduction of Air Jordans, Nike has been an African company
White people don’t wear Nike’s
Just about everything generated in the instant outrage engine that is social media is just marketing on the cheap by soulless corporations.
Lol! Good one! And let's hope so.
Of course they do. And many without having the foggiest idea or concern about politics, or knowledge of communist Kaepernick. Most people simply do not follow this stuff as we and others do. Whether because they just don't care or have the time, they go through life not being aware of or caring about a lot of things.
Excellent description: "soulless corporations". Immediately brought to mind Bill Clinton's ChinaGate scandal, and also China's economic and military rise since.
Thank you for posting all this stuff.
The infection is real.
‘Pod.
Absolutely. Very strange. And very illogical and hypocritical. I can't imagine Nike or any other such huge multi-billion dollar company out there bashing Capitalism actually giving up ownership and handing the reins over to the state.
You’re welcome. Thank you for realizing and acknowledging the import. :)
I wish another company would come out with those Betsy Ross sneakers...I would buy a pair!

I just bought a pair of Puma's a few days ago. Hopefully they don't share Nike's insanely idiotic and illogical politics. (guess I should have checked first...)

Flashback: Sept 2018...
Nikes announcement Monday it would make Colin Kaepernick the face of its Just Do It campaign sparked a firestorm on social media -- and literal fires, too.
Some social media users took to Twitter to showcase their frustrations. Videos and photos showed fans completely destroying their Nike-branded apparel, with some going as far as letting the gear go up in flames.
First the @NFL forces me to choose between my favorite sport and my country, Twitter user Sean Clancy wrote. I chose country. Then @Nike forces me to choose between my favorite shoes and my country.
Since when did the American Flag and the National Anthem become offensive?

Bet they sue to obtain that design.
IMO, it is very likely the case that Nike *intentionally* came out with the Betsy Ross flag sneakers in order to present cop-killer-supporting communist Kaepernick the opportunity to do what he did, especially just prior to the 4th of July.
One thing you have to give the global communist movement credit for is their organizational abilities and diehard determination in fighting for their cause. Too bad they're too stupid and ignorant to see the many flaws in their thinking, if you can call what they do thinking.
Lol! I certainly would not rule that out!

Nike Inc. is yanking a U.S.A.-themed sneaker featuring an early American flag after NFL star-turned-activist Colin Kaepernick told the company it shouldnt sell a shoe with a symbol that he and others consider offensive, according to people familiar with the matter. ...
Well fine, you’re a splendid mole whacker in a hole. That doesn’t do anything to address the public strange attraction to cases like Mr. K, and frankly I don’t expect Donald Jr. to have much more effect (he preached to an existing choir) unless he then progresses to a gospel inspired answer.
To cure the strange attraction — FILL THE VACUUM.
