ThinkProgress, the news site operated by the Democratic think tank Center for American Progress, is up for sale, according to the Daily Beast.
The staff was informed Monday that the site would be sold by CAP executive director Navin Nayak in a memo.
Unfortunately, like so many other news outlets that have relied on advertising to fund its work, ThinkProgress has seen a significant drop in revenue in recent years, along with other financial strains. In addition, events over the last few years have underscored the divergent missions of American Progress and ThinkProgress, said Nayak.

I got a few bucks in my pocket, wanna go in with me and get it?
libtard sites are a dime a dozen and even though they don’t work its not like the audience has unlimited attention what with instagram and facebook and all that.
“Think Progress.” What an appropriate name— thinking progressively into oblivion. No one will miss them, not even their own rabid “progressive” liberals. My heart bleeds.
I can pony-up fifty cents!
Anybody know the asking price?
LOL
DON’T LIE!!!!! :)
I can do a quarter.
welcome aboard the fail boat! Losing money, probably significant liabilities. Let it tank.
Probably pretty cheap.
A 3 million dollar loss is bad but it’s pennies to a large outfit.
I think if we all chip in we can do this!! :)
Wouldn’t it be great if conservative Americans all chipped in and funded a POWERFUL network of TV shoes and online outlets?
Propaganda is less profitable than it used to be.
Counting on leftists to support your revenue is the first sign of a very flawed business-plan.
If we all chip in a quarter, maybe we can buy it so JimRob can get a couple of newer servers.
Wouldn’t it be ironic if a Conservative group bought ThinkProgress? The new emphasis could then be “Thinking” as a progress, instead of “think and say what I say” propaganda.
I wonder what real hard assets they have.... cause their soft assets like their brand has a negative value.
Off Topic....
Has Drudge changed his business model?
I used to get besieged with ads on that website.
For the last month - ZERO ads!
I’m thinking he may now get paid for sending “hits” to other websites.
The European Union was threatening to ban Drudge and Drudge copy cats who generated ad revenue by linking to news articles at other websites.
Ah, a bright spot to begin the day! Truthfully, I’m sick of most of the anti-Trump posts here. I just skip over most of them unless I make a rude comment. We have in our midst the greatest president ever to sit in the White House and the way he is treated just galls me to hell.
What’s interesting to me isn’t that no one gives a crap about these clowns, it’s that their sugar daddy must have cut off funding to them...and perhaps that may become a trend.
