The News Reports about the Department of Commerce dropping its quest to put the Citizenship Question on the Census is incorrect or, to state it differently, FAKE! We are absolutely moving forward, as we must, because of the importance of the answer to this question.
There you have it.

President Trump, VP Pence , the Commerce Dept could have called this fake story yesterday on twitter.
President Trump, VP Pence , the Commerce Dept could have called this fake story yesterday on twitter.
Does this mean printing on hold or a dual track?
The case was remanded to the lower court for further litigation. Everyone assumed that there wouldn’t be enough time for the lower court to issue a second ruling before the census forms needed to be printed.
They didn’t factor in President Trump.
Yeah...It’s not like they have anything else to do....
See Trump tweets yesterday after FAKE news broke. .
Yep—but it was probably our pushback that got them to turn around. Important because some sycophants here get so upset for Freepers standing up for policies and principles when Trump appears to be letting us down, whereas only by standing up for them can we help him stick to his promises.
Well another dollar into fell for the fake news jar.
The following site gives the questions that have been asked on the USA census since 1790.
https://www.census.gov/history/www/through_the_decades/index_of_questions/1790_1.html
The CITIZENSHIP question has been asked on the following census: 1820, 1830, 1870,1880, 1890, 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, 1940, 1950.
The CITIZENSHIP question has been asked in the past census when there is a significant number of immigrants.
Therefore, we already have the precedent for asking the question.
I see no reason why the citizenship question cannot be asked in 2020.
I know it is difficult for government bureaucrats to dig into the files, but there are probably all sorts of reasons given in the past that would placate the Supreme Court today.
The Constitutional issues have been settled: the question is Constitutional and the Secretary of Commerce has the power and authority to make the decision. What was remanded was a "violation" of the Administrative Procedures Act (APA). In other words, a process foul. The Court wants a better explanation from the Commerce Department. That has probably been written already. The big question is how long can the District Court stall while grading the new paper. I don't know the answer to that, but that's where we are.
Maybe you need to write him and tell him to be faster with his responses....
The bizarre thing is that the Dems are actually objecting to something that could help immigrants, since the census and the data collected from it are used for apportioning aid, designing programs, etc. But its not bizarre at all, now that I stop to think about it, because they dont give a darn about immigrants, legal or illegal, and its all about attacking Trump and attacking the US.
Therefore, it's not Trump's problem to get the printing started, it is the District Court's problem. The printer can blame lateness of the court.
I don’t know. The Census is a Constitutional requirement, a tabulation must be made once every 10 years. But the rest of the Census is governed by statutes and I haven’t read them. I’m sure that the White House has done, and I’m sure that they had a contingency for the several possible rulings.
The Administrative State may have made up their minds, but Trump is not a member of that gang.

How about editing that to say:
"only by standing up for them can we help him achieve his goals."
Considering Trump is still fighting more than anyone else out there, its hard to say he "isn't sticking to promises."
I was on a thread yesterday, and there was some Freeper I had never seen a post from before (with a signup date of 2005) who was trashing President Trump saying he caves on everything.
Bet we won’t hear a peep out of that person. I forget the handle.
