WORSE...the “engineers” are in India and probably other low-cost countries where Boeing would have very limited control of software quality. At least with an H1B visa holder working in the states you’d have U.S. managers and QC people reviewing the work.

I took that as being from any number of countries....LOL...It probably WAS India, though...

Apparently they imported these guys, and they were working in a building at Boeing Field in Seattle.
Can you imaging trying to live in the Seattle area on $9 an hour?
The law should be changed to require all H1B visas to be paid at three times the prevailing wage of US Citizens working the same job. If there really is a critical labor shortage, the company should be prepared to pay more, right?
Suddenly the shortage would miraculously disappear...

I foyu look at the development timeline for the 373Max8. It was developed from 2011 onward. A time when EVERY corporation was shedding their senior/experienced staff for the new Obamaites whom they could pay half, and outsource to places like India.
With inexperienced software writers and inexperienced program managers it is no surprise of what happened.
Yeah, I guess they could code in between phone calls at the help desk.

They can out source all they want to low cost OR high cost designers. But, bottom line, if they don’t do good QA, they are responsible for any poor results.
I work with many H1B engineers and I would take the work of an associate degree technician before I’d listen to the H1Bs.
I’m really sick of engineers who know how to use a finite element program. I want an engineer who knows how to use the program and is aware of how to properly set up a model that mimics the real world.
LOL - oh yeah...
The problem is that it was not reviewed.
Yeah that’s not so bad when you’re screwing up your own life.

It wasn’t to save money, it was to sell planes to India and China.
