FULL TITLE: Trump slams 'terrible' Jimmy Carter as 'forgotten president' after suggestion 2016 win was 'illegitimate'

President Trump fired back at former President Jimmy Carter’s suggestion that he’s illegitimate president, saying Carter is “the forgotten president” who’s not only “trashed” by his own party but also remembered only as being “terrible” for the country.

Trump addressed the comments made by Carter during a news conference Saturday following the G-20 summit in Japan, saying that although Carter is “a nice man, he was a terrible president,” before noting that “he’s a Democrat and it’s a typical talking point.”

He added that Carter is “loyal to the Democrats” but “as everybody now understands, I won not because of Russia, not because of anybody but myself.”

Carter said Friday at a Virginia forum that “I think a full investigation would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016.”

“He lost the election, and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf," he added. When asked if Trump was “illegitimate president,” Carter responded saying “Basically, what I just said, which I can’t retract.”

Sour grapes from a sour puss. Hey Jimmy, he is going win again and it wont be because of the Russians. It will be because of you, idiot. All they had to do was act American, but it seems beneath these globalist.

Carter has been getting ripped to shreds on Instagram over the last couple of days.

Almost to a person they claim he’s the second worst president in U. S. History. And that was one of the kinder series of comments.

I always said Carter should thank his lucky stars Obama came along.

The nation would have been so much better off without the two of them.

Iran would still be a Western friendly nation. We would still administer the Panama Canal. Neither North Korea or Iran would be nuclear threats.

Millions of Iraqi and Iranian people wouldn’t have died in the war between them.

Hezbollah in Lebanon wouldn’t be armed to the teeth.

Other Middle Eastern nations wouldn’t be considering the need to obtain nuclear weapons.

The straights of Hormuz wouldn’t be an issue.

War in Iraq may not have been necessary, and Syria wouldn’t be as adventurous against it’s own citizens.

The Kurds would be under a lot less pressure.

In short, these two eunuchs destabilized the world on their watch.

I will give Carter credit for one thing during the Iranian Hostage Crisis. There was an attempt made to rescue the hostages. Even though the attempt ended in disaster he did take full responsibility for its failure. That’s something that I never saw Obama do in all of his eight years in office.

18-20% inflation rate was rather memorable in my book. On the flip side, there was 18% Treasuries floating around, as well. Those paid off better than a slot machine!

I sat in the middle of the bed and cried when they announced he won. I couldn’t believe we had elected him. Shameful man.

I am no fan of Carter. However, his public image is that of a nice guy who was an ineffective President.

My comment had nothing to do with Carter's public image.

Obama's public image is that of a towering intellect.

Most here on FR know better.

He was a lousy president who, in retirement, didn’t say a word about the unscrupulous conduct of Obama or the Clintons, so he has no business talking about President Trump — especially peddling lies about him!
