A young man from Zimbabwe has been convicted in London of making and possessing two guns with a 3D printer. The gun parts were discovered during a raid searching for marijuana. From independent.co.uk:
A second raid of his home in February 2018 led to the discovery of further components of another 3D printed gun.
Acting Detective Sergeant Jonathan Roberts, who led the investigation, said: We know that Muswere was planning to line the printed firearms with steel tubes in order to make a barrel capable of firing.
This conviction, which I believe is the first of its kind relating to the use of a 3D printer to produce a firearm, has prevented a viable gun from getting into the hand of criminals.
The design at the top appears to be a six shot version of the reprringer 3x pepperbox. The reprringer is a manually indexed, single action pepperbox. The cylinder has to be turned and indexed manually, and the hammer cocked, for each shot.
People have been convicted in Australia of making 3D printed guns. The laws are more restrictive in Australia, where it is illegal to possess a replica without a license, or to possess the computer instructions on how to print out gun parts with a 3D printer. This is the first time a person has been convicted of making and having a 3D printed gun in England.
Both of these designs are composite designs. They use easily obtainable metal shapes to contain the pressure of firearm cartridges, primarily for the barrel. The 3D printer makes it easier to create the fire control mechanism for multiple shots.

Kudos to the people of both the UK and Australia in creatively attempting to circumvent draconian gun control laws.
So many people can use the 3D printing process to fabricate pistols, it will become almost impossible to control.
This is veryt good news for the basic human right and natural right of self defense and the defense of one’s property, family, friends and of liberty itself.
The draconian liberal fascists can take a long walk of a short pier. They have no business keeping the tools of freedom out of the hands of anyone.
What is old is new again.
A gun is merely a thick pipe, a projectile and some chemical that goes boom. Add a few springs and levers and you have multi shot revolver.
Banning guns is about as effective as banning plants or natural products of decay (alcohol and mushrooms)
Scary like Orwell’s 1984 Thought Police.
I can see the rat party doing this to us.
Really hate these pigs.
It appears to me that this is nothing but a lazy and expensive way to make a zip gun. I could do the same with a tube, rubber band and a nail.
They will make it illegal for a private citizen to own a 3d printer without a license, and they will further regulate the sale of printing supplies. This is far easier than addressing the real issues in the UK.

The Police State will never succeed in stopping determined individuals from creating contraband objects, assemblies, chemicals, and other items from materials found in nature and modern society. A hardare ( sic) store and grocery store, and scrapyard contains all the materials needed to create a knife, firearm, explosive, and pyrotechnic. Add knowledge, and common hand tools and a determined person can create such devices. Power tools make the job easier, but hand tools are sufficient. The Internet is a grand source of information, plans, and guides on making most everything. The Wayback Machine contains a wealth of information on weapons and materials contained in 18th century books. Will the Police State go so far as to track the sales of such items along with the buyers. Or make illegal the posession( sic) of certain materials that when mixed or assembled constitute something the Police State doesnt like. How far will a Police State go to protect itself from the people they are supposed to serve ? Thats the real reason why guns and certain materials are banned from public posession ( sic). It is to take away the things that give the people the tools to resist a Police State. England is not a Democracy. It is a Police State. The US is not far behind England. Should the Second Amendment be nullified the US will rapidly become a Communist state, and freedoms enjoyed for over two centuries will be dissapear ( sic). The collapse of the US Republic is not far away, and is likely should a Democrat take the White House in 2020.

You do know that THEY will just regulate 3D printers, don’t you?
They will likely rule the immigrants have a right to defend themselves but citizens are prohibited from 3d printing any weaponry.
You do know that THEY will just regulate 3D printers, dont you?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Absolutely THEY will.
But the Chinese and the Russians will make 3D printers and their components available on the black market.
The unregulated spread of 3D printers is impossible to stop.
Its like having the equivalent of a forge and tools used to make muskets from scratch back in the day, when America began to gather herself to exist pursuant to a 2nd amendment.
Sten SMGs were just stamped metal.
Making a homemade gun is easy. Making homemade ammo from scratch is something else. How many people could buy the uncommon chemicals (especially without arousing suspicion), mix and safety apply them to make cartridge primers? Not nearly as easy as making black powder.
How many people have been killed by 3D guns? We have world wide consternation over a hypothetical. The latest episode of “It Could Happen “.
I’ve read that in the USSR, that the spread of ‘unauthorized’ ideas considered so dangerous, that copy machines had guards watching their use. But how are they going to regulate knives?
How far will a Police State go to protect itself from the people they are supposed to serve ?
I think I found the problem right there. The UK subject has it all backwards. In the minds of the Police State, the people are slaves of the Government , mean the to serve, pay taxes, and then die when no longer productive, or become a potential threat to the status quo. The only rights you have are those bequeathed to you by the ever-burgeoning tyranny of the Police State.
Submachine guns are about the simplist repeater to make at home and in small shops.
They are found all over the world, including Canada, Australia, and Israel.
Actually, pretty easy, as demonstrated by four methods to make primers and percussion caps in these instructions.
Link to 24 page manual on how to make primers and percussion caps.
Vlad told me how certain knives were tightly controlled the Soviet Union. Hunting knives and military knives such as bayonets were required to have serial numbers and were registered with the State.
