Former President Jimmy Carter said he believes President Donald Trump’s election was illegitimate and “he didn’t actually win the election in 2016.”
Carter was speaking at at a Carter Center conference on human rights in Virginia with author Jon Meacham when he made the remarks. (First reported by USA Today’s Susan Page.)
“I think the interference, though not yet quantified, should be fully investigated and would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016, he lost the election,” Carter said.
“He was put into office because the Russians interfered,” he said. Carter was then asked if that meant he believed Trump was illegitimate.
“Based on what I said, which I can’t retract,” Carter responded, prompting laughter from the audience.
Carter has spoken with Trump in the past and attended Trump’s inauguration. Earlier this year, Carter says he offered Trump advice on dealing with China after Trump called him to talk about the country.

Actually Jimmy, the dems were the ones involved with Russia on the election and side deals with uranium one.
It will be quite instructive for Jimmy, his party and we, the people, when all of the data is declassified and released for public consumption.
Then we shall see for ourselves what the truth actually is and who has been feeding US fake news.
But, far more instructive long term will be the lawsuits that WILL find these bad actors and WILL bring the painful, public end to Jimmy’s media players and even a few of their alphabet networks, too.
Consequences! Painful and expensive life changing consequences will find those who have been “above” US and the law for so long they truly believe they are untouchable.
We will all benefit from their attitude adjustment and our world will ultimately be better thanks to their examples of what not to do ... ever.

I’m glad that that cutting-edge cancer treatment saved his life, and enabled him to come to Trump’s inauguration. And I would pray the usual Orthodox prayers at his passing.

The Democrats claim that Russia installed Trump as president raises the infallible argument that Russia is the US’s best ally. Putin, by Democrat logic has made it possible for the Us to become Great Again.

So, if Russians had run an ad for Carter when Carter was running for President (even without his knowledge or support) Carter would NOT have been a legitimate President?

2) Rampant inflation; Interest rates at 18%.
3) Jimmy humiliated by both Iran and a startled rabbit.
4) Jimmy outhustled by Leonid Brezhnev.
5) M.E.O.W.
6) Jimmy teaching Sunday School with Trujillo.
7) Jimmy promoting Malaise as the new normal.
8) Jimmy telling Americans they should learn to do with less.
9) Dan Ackroyd as Mr. Jimmy Peanut on SNL.
Yes, whatever gas Carter is passing now really matters.
