A survey produced by the Harris Poll in partnership with Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) finds young Americans’ comfort with LGBTQ individuals has plunged from 63 percent in 2016 to 45 percent in 2018. According to the Accelerating Acceptance report, Americans aged 18-34 who say they are comfortable interacting with LGBTQ people dropped from 63 percent in 2016 to 53 percent in 2017, and then to 45 percent in 2018. The survey results are published as lesbian, gay, and transgender activists celebrate Pride month. “At the same time, the Trump administration continues to attack the LGBTQ community through discriminatory policies and targeted rhetoric, and LGBTQ Americans are becoming more vulnerable to hate crimes and violence,” GLAAD said in response to the survey outcome. Among the survey’s findings are that the acceptance of LGBTQ individuals among young women dropped from 65 percent in 2016 to 64 percent in 2017, and then plunged to 52 percent in 2018. Among males, 62 percent were accepting in 2016, plunging to 40 percent in 2017, and then further down to 35 percent in 2018. The percentage of young Americans who said they were uncomfortable with an LGBTQ family member increased from 24 percent in 2016, to 29 percent in 2017, and then to 36 percent in 2018. Additionally, the discomfort of young Americans has increased with the thought of their child’s placement with an LGBTQ teacher, from 25 percent in 2016 to 29 percent in 2017, and then to 33 percent in 2018. Also, 39 percent of younger Americans said they were uncomfortable discovering their child experienced an LGBTQ school lesson, compared with 30 percent in 2017 and 27 percent in 2016”

I don’t think it’s the mean tweets. I think people are tired of them cramming it down our throats. Demanding special accommodations. Every new tv show chock full of the perversion.
On the contrary, it’s entirely understandable why greater contact with degenerates would make one less willing to accept them.
The people that became LGBTQ as a phase or fad are aging out of the demographic, and the younger kids just were never into it.

Right. And, in addition, despite the media’s fawning attempts to make the “LGBTQ struggle” into some kind of epoch-defining movement, it’s really just a glorified fad. And fads fade out.
Quite a few of those holding overplayed hands are going to be folding this year and next. That's exactly what the censorship machine running amok at Google and others is trying to avoid, having to face up to the fact that they have far less support than they thought their money had bought them.

Add to this the repugnant transgendering and open sexualization of prepubescent children and now they wonder why acceptance rates are falling from those they once counted as allies.

What a steaming pant-load of horse apples. I’ve not heard a single thing from the Trump administration on LG crapola, no “targeted rhetoric,” and certainly no implementation of discriminatory policies. There’s as much proof behind this BS as there is behind Global Warming / Climate Change / Climate Catastrophe, etc

I must be older than you because, when I was a kid, it was just “Stay out of our bedroom.” There was nothing at all about acceptance at the start of all this crap.
They are now seeing what it is like to have a Protected Class.
My niece is starting to flip back from a crazy leftist to realizing she has been lied to.
Another woman friend of mine is starting to question anything which is in the media or print for the same reason.
